I edited my post, go check it out. I have bought fake fur, and it looks great. I have a gorgeous coat with a faux fur hood, and I'm going to be getting a faux fur stole next week. But that's like saying, "Why don't you buy store brand macaroni and cheese instead of name brand?" There's a certain luxury to it. I don't support animal cruelty. But my fur could very well come from already dead animals.

I still eat meat despite the videos of animals getting killed. I still go to the store even if there was a forest at that spot 200 years earlier despite deforestation. People are going to eat meat, animals will still die painful deaths. Nobody ever says gun owners should stop buying guns instead of guns being outlawed in those arguments, so why is this the issue here in a fur argument?

You're not going to stop people from buying or enjoying fur. Do something productive like picket outside of a farm.

Gaga talked about this subject/topic with Howard Stern in 2013. She said that she thought a lot about wearing fur and leather not anymore if I remember correctly, but she thinks that PETA is pathetic.

i understand that, but it has no effect on anything. Whether she wears fur, steak, leather or feathers... nothing changes. It all remains the same. It is of zero consequence to the world. The only people it would affect is these nut cases at PETA. Stick the WBC and PETA on a boat, sail it out into the middle of the ocean and blow it up.

I don't need to watch the full video. My grandmother was a tailor and furrier throughout her life. I know the processes involved and that they're completely inhumane. Guess what! All slaughter is inhumane. Ever seen a chicken farm? Still eat chicken? It's all cruel and it's all heartless and for either high-end expensive fashion or mass consumption. I've come to terms with it and understand that is how it needs to be for certain industries to flourish.

Of course food is a requirement and fashion is not, however, if we are to be outraged at one and not the other, we must ask why that is. if you're going to stop wearing fur, or ban fur, then also ban farms, and halal meat.

The main point of the video isnt about PETA. Its about the animals being skinned alive and tortured.

Why don't we make these buisnesses not torture the animals and raise them nicely, then kill them quickly so they don't suffer.

Because that doesn't work as an efficient way to make money. And you can't feed, clothe and house any families with chinchilla smiles.

Who cares? Animals are having their bones broken, kept in cages, beaten up, skinned alive, still alive even after all their skin off (most disturbing thing I have ever seen) its in the video, and this behavior isnt human.

Everyone cares. It's all well and good being for animal rights - I am, too - but I'm being realistic. There have been practical studies done to see if they can introduce humane conditions for farming, slaughter and even the fur industry... and the money isn't there. Farmers would go out of business, the cost to consumers would be ridiculous.

So, we have smiley happy animals, and starving humans with no money to afford the ridiculous price of food from the 3 farmers that are left in the world.

It will never happen. It's impossible.

this video is originally by PETA which are KNOWN to make up bullshit in their videos just to get some sympathy points and suck people into donating to their **** foundation. im not saying that the fur industry isn't bad, but PETA fabricates and blatantly lies about a lot of things. it's the reason why they're constantly getting sued/exposed for exploiting animals just for their own personal gain of money.

this should be enough for you to consider why anything made or endorsed by PETA should be taken with a grain of salt. 

if you want to spread awareness of cruelty of animals then do so by using groups who actually give a **** about them. human society, and animal equality are a good start
