You're paying the company that is commiting these crimes... If you're not able to kill an animal and skin it to wear it as fur, then I don't see why you assuage your responsibily / guilt by saying it's not a direct impact when your buying it from someone else, who is doing it/ financing it... It's sad how industrialization has made it so easy for people to ignore cruelty that is not in front of you...

Not every company commits heinous crimes towards animals, first off. There are probably tons of fur pieces in warehouses and the supply+demand would not necessarily be affected by my own meager purchase, that depends on the overall sales. But that's not my responsibility, nor do I care about the supply and demand unless it means I can't purchase it. If you want me to baby your little heart and tell you I'll try to put some consideration into choosing a company that skins the animal with love, I will. But I have no goddamn reason to appease your morals. It's not always cruelty either, might I add. Dead animals can be skinned as well. Don't act as if I don't understand cruelty or that I'm heartless. I have more compassion for the animals then I do the people complaining to me about how I want to wear genuine fur.

Do you know how many people who oppose fur, eat animals? And wear leather? Or own leather furniture? Its ridiculous. Notice that only anyone gives a **** about animals that are cute, I.e the ones that coincidentally have fur to carve off their flesh.

Trees are replanted but an animals tortured, horrible life can't. They have real emotions and feelings and should not be tortured and skinned alive.

Re-form. Yes trees are replanted but animals are also birthed.

I dont disagree that the treatment is wrong saying ANYTHING about Gaga IS she isnt selling, she isnt skinning, she isnt killing, the INDUSTRY is.

The fur will get made, just as the paper will, it will be purchased whether or not it was purchased by @Chicor Lady Gaga is IRRELAVENT.

The only relevant point is that the industy (in some companies) IS DISGUSTING!

I never called you out for your morals, because it's a subjective concept and there's no point discussing it... I called you out for your empty argumentation...

You don't have to "baby cry my little heart"... I wasn't even being disrespectful to you, but if you can't have an actual discussion without trying to insult me, then I'm done replying to you...

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

In this topic I've been called sick by another person and you're heavily implying I have no empathy for animals because of how I've been "affected" and "influenced" by industrialization and the industry in general. Well, no. I'm capable of sentient, individual thought. At least I and the person who called me sick were straightforward, you just have a very subtle guilting complex to attribute to those you disagree with, as if you're trying to get me to not wear fur. I personally don't see a reason for me not to, and I don't think it's immoral, and I don't think I should feel bad about it. If you think I should feel bad, I'm sorry, but that's your problem. Not mine.

Oh my goodness, that last lady that prick harassed! "ME!" Alright, Captain Obvious!

Honestly, do people really think that they're saving an animal if they're not buying fur? You're just not buying one! That dog/rabbit/cat/... is still going to be stripped, it's just going to lie in a warehouse somewhere, waiting for its next owner.

That dude is not making any difference for the fur industry, the only thing he is doing is harassing people to make him feel better about himself.

You will never please everyone.

It lies in a warehouse, waiting to be replaced... If no one buys it, the companies will eventually stop producing it... In a world where everyone acknowldges their responsibility as a costumer, that is, of course... But if you don't want to be the change you want to see in the world, then that's your thing, but it's not an argument

That's the point: if I don't buy it, someone else will. The people who want to buy fur will buy fur.

Good.

:wtf: Why would you buy something when the video is right in front of you showing you how bad the treatment is. After seeing that video I don't know how anyone could buy fur.

And your solution is to be that person who buys fur? That's probably the exact same logic the other costumers are following

not if everyone stops. Fake fur is just as good as regular but no animal had to be skinned alive  in a warehouse!

I apologize if I hurt your feelings with my personal opinion :ccccc

I still eat meat despite the videos of animals getting killed. I still go to the store even if there was a forest at that spot 200 years earlier despite deforestation. People are going to eat meat, animals will still die painful deaths. It's not right that they should and it absolutely sucks that they do, but the problem is the industry, not the consumers or how much they attribute.

Nobody ever says gun owners should stop buying guns instead of guns being outlawed in those arguments, so why is this the issue here in a fur argument?

You're not going to stop people from buying or enjoying fur. Do something productive like picket outside of a farm.

I understand. I just don't get how you can support people skinning animals alive and keeping them in little cages, hitting them, breaking their bones, and letting them suffer for their life. Animals have feelings and emotions to. Why dont you buy fake fur, it looks just as good! There is no excuse for buying real fur anymore.
