No, I don't think so. Criticism is not easy for an artist - on one hand, you don't want yay-sayers who fullfill your ego all the time, on the other hand you also don't want people that are not believing in you really and mock everything you do.

It is because we have a new group of "fans" coming in asking questions from two years ago. Isn't it interesting that all these old topics are appearing and they are so heavy with language you would see at places like ATRL, MN, PD, Exhale, etc? Many of these newbies don't want to talk about the accomplishments of the past year or the ones that are happening now, but want to make some thread that sounds like it came straight from a hater site two years ago. Coincidence? Lol

This is actually pretty accurate. :ohno:

Do you think Lady Gaga is acting kind of petty when it comes to music? If the music isn't met with applause all over the place, Gaga doesn't want to have anything to do with the work and starts in a way blaming people for why it's not performing well. Or in recent cases, she just stops focusing on music all together. What do you think of this behavior?

oh look, more BS about Gaga acting like a victim, but no specific example of it. :laughga:

at this point I'm just laughing. can we stop this? :yay:

The situation she was in with ARTPOP was really complicated.

She was repeatedly told "No, make something else" over and over again until she gave up and made what they wanted, so really, it is their fault. She loves ARTPOP but it isn't what she wanted or planned when she began it's creation.

I don't think she should have blamed Troy, but she's human. He was the one who had to push her and break all of the bad news so it's only natural to blame him.

Gaga, at the end of the day, is human. It seems like she didn't even know what was going on for a few years, let alone us so I'd rather just focus on the future. We're not about to get the answers we need to discuss the situation so it's better to just leave it in the past.

Well this thread makes no sense. When has Gaga ever not given music importance? She took a break of three years from pop music. That's pretty much normal. Katy put out her album in 2013, Beyonce 2013, Rihanna 2012, Britney 2013. Lady Gaga put out a jazz album in between 2013 and now. She had two tours and a TV show. She also put out a song for a soundtrack and recorded a full song for Tom Ford. As for blaming other people, she has said her label supports her. So who has she blamed. She didn't blame Katy. She only said her and Katy make different types of music. Who is BB? Does that mean Billboard? Billboard gave her album a good review. Do you know the definition of petty?

Of course it's relatable. We all know what it's like to feel the rush of mass appreciation, and how validating it can be. Anyone who doesn't enjoy having their work/talent recognized.... is probably lying.

And it was well-received because it's one of the catchiest songs in years.

The only thing that is relatable is the chorus. Most people can't relate to being the Koons and then suddenly the Koons is them. I can't argue though about it being catchy.

Anyways, to answer the OP, Gaga hasn't blamed anyone. If she had, there would be numerous "news" articles about it. I think the only person she blames is herself for not learning to say no more often. (ex: watch her Yale speech)

She didn't have a top 10 single in ages.

So all complaints are valid.

Some people don't want to understand that she is a POP star first and foremost, and as long as she doesn't deliver successful POP music, a large portion of her fanbase has every right to be upset with her. Like what's her excuse for not making TIHTY a full-on single? She could have pushed it, made a radio deal, promoted it everywhere but nooooo she has to act and sing boring jazz songs...that is not stan-worthy and you know it.

The thread says Lady Gaga is being petty about music not pop music. It's not her fault some fans  don't like Jazz. They are the ones being petty. That's the definition of the word petty. Not giving it importance. C2C is a number on selling album (happens to be Jazz) that performed better than the albums of some pop stars that have current "hit songs" on the charts. C2C is still on the BB200 in the top 100 albums. Heck the of those same pop stars won't even sell what C2C sold or ARTPOP sold.

"As long as she doesn't deliver successful POP music, a large portion of her fanbase has every right to be upset with her." <--that right there is petty and trifling. :awkney:

Maybe she just didn't want to make a hit off of a song that is all about sexual abuse. Did you think about that? Not everything out there is about commercial success. There are things much more important. :toofunny:
