This week Lady Gaga's song about rape, "Til It Happens to You" flies from #15 to #8 on the Dance/Club songs chart. The song is a top 10 hit! The odd thing is, I searched youtube and can't even find a remix of the song. I mean go Gaga, but its kinda cringeworthy thinking about a bunch of people on the dance floor, grinding on each other to a song about rape. But CONGRATS LG! It could also be interpreted as a song about the difficulty of being misunderstood by others who also see your problems as trivial, and you believing that until they're in your shoes they won't understand. Death of a loved one, being bullied for being different, failure at something you've worked hard at, etc... So if properly remixed, the song could be pretty cathartic on a dance floor.
