brizoda 4,176
If you’ve been waiting to finally see Monsanto – one of the most hated companies in the world – to pay for its ecocide, knowing harm of human life, and devastation of our pollinators, then you won’t have to wait much longer. http://www.hangthebankers.com/monsanto-trial-hague-crimes-against-humanity/

MJHolland 12,725
Seems rather political in nature given that the "trial" is taking place on World Food Day... Also, there under trial for creating GMOs that are legal and haven't been actually proven to be harmful to humans whatsoever? K....

GMOs in food are like how pharmaceutical drugs are to our health. I let that one sink in...

Lets look at the facts. GMO's increase farmer productivity and yield, provide more resilient crops when it comes to weather anomalies (which is important considering every year is a new "hottest year on record"), and boost the global supply of food. On top of all this, they've never been proven to be harmful to human health. It's ridiculous that some people are against them. Get with the 21st century. Am I to believe you have read research that claims they're safe? I have gotten with the 21st century. I grow my own organic produce and eat zero processed foods. I would NEVER put my health in their hands. They say they're safe to eat, but in reality Monsanto genetically modifies these foods to MAKE MONEY. These foods cause some bodies to mutate and develop cancer which sends them to doctors so that they can MAKE MONEY. Doctors tell patients to eat fresh food that secretly are GMOs so that industry can MAKE MONEY. It's all an evil scheme to earn profit regardless the health of the masses. The food industry is so similar to the music industry in so many ways.
Luiz 4,253
is anyone going to post actual research? I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

The food industry is so similar to the music industry in so many ways. To make these sort of claims one needs some type of evidence. Research on how harmful/less GMO's are to the body need to be conducted. Groups against GMO's could easily conduct research on food produced that has been genetically modified to see what effects there are on human health. Not to mention genetics is a relatively new field. Only in the 20th century did humans begin to grasp the concept of genetics. To my knowledge, GMO's have not been proven yet to be harmful. However, I am sure research from both sides of this debate will eventually shed light on this.

Emvee 8,825
Regardless of whether you believe GMOs are healthy or not, mass food production not only pollutes the earth far more than cars and buildings do, it bottle necks food diversity. In what world is that acceptable? The 21st century is about finding new and innovative ways of solving our food needs, which incorporates considerations for our environment AND our own wellbeing. It's not about incentivizing large corporations whose sole purpose is to expedite and have large profit margins. This trial is setting a precedent for any corporation who puts profit above human wellbeing and it's about goddamn time.

But a world with 7 billion hungry people is even more at risk when companies like Monsanto drive conventional seed types to extinction. Ty3009 232
Yay. More ignorance and misinformation on GMO's being spread. All we need next is someone to bring up vaccines as a negative.
