DiscoHeaven23 35,007
My question for those living outside the U.S. is, is Kylie Minogue as big or almost as big as Madonna in your countries? I'm from the US and am sorry to admit that I only "discovered" Kylie in 2011/2012, and then realized she's the woman who sang "Can't Get You Outta My Head", "Love At First Sight" and "Locomotion" (songs which i had known, because they were popular in the US). I find her to be a huge talent, and she's the kind of pop star that I really enjoy. If only she had had some dominance in the US. But I guess her record label not releasing any of her work in the 90's to the US kinda ruined that. Anyways, let me know!

VOLANTIS 16,406
She's always battled with her conservative Record Label issues. Also Madonna kinda thrived on Controversy along side her Talents. Kylie isnt known for making a Commotion. That might be the reason why Kylie doesn't have a Huge Fanbase compared to Madonna but that also means she has less Haters because she plays it safe image wise. What I'm trying to say is Madonna and Kylie Minogue are Iconic Pop stars but Madonna has a bigger name. But anyone who's into Pop music/culture would know Kylie as a Legend as well. I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half
Spock 20,290
She was quite big during her original peak, and then when she re-peaked again with the Parlophone albums, but she never was as big as Madonna who will love me when the night is over

The thing is first her debut single Locomotion was big, then I Should Be So Lucky did well too in US After the semi smash of her debut, her sophomore album bombed in US and she got dropped from her US label Then she couldn't get another until she came back with Light Years and then was able to get one for Fever She never did much promo in US too ALso her music was very different from what American Top 40 would play Her career was basically when RnB was smashing and she was making disco See talent here-->http://bit.ly/2eqeUxK

Like, Janet repeaked at the beginning of the 00s and then kind of faded (I think) but Kylie stayed consistent pretty much throughout the decade, even if her bigger impact was also at the beginning of the 00s. Spinning Around, CGYOOMH, Love At First Sight, Slow, I Belive In You, 2 Hearts and even All The Lovers a couple of years ago, where pretty big to various degrees. It's only gotten s--tty after Aphrodite who will love me when the night is over
Phantomhive 2,030
She's barely known here in my country. My dad only knew her for being in that 90's Street Fighter film. I remember Kiss Me Once being available for purchase at stores for a few months then they discontinued it. In I fly on wings of winter.
