Angel Down 2,807
I adore jazz but it's true that some songs selected for C2C were just terrible. I mean there are countless jazz pieces they could choose from. Why Firefly or IDMAT when she could cover Summertime or The Other Woman or Feeling Good? That's some amazing jazz

Didymus 34,379
Not exactly bland but it just doesn't feel like a sincere project in terms of sound. It's just a bunch of unrelated covers. I like the idea of a Cole Porter cover album more because you can create a unity in sound and concept that can really sound like an album, not like a compilation of overdone and, frankly, uninspiring (with a few exceptions) classics. Benji 20,113
Some of the choices in songs are a little bit odd but overall I really enjoy the album
Hexxx 2,244
yes. there are some tracks that i love but some were just skippable Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
Chicka 2,385
Gaga and Tony's beautiful friendship chemistry alone is enough to make that album special. The passion and energy in Gaga's voice could never be bland.
Felicia 124
I wouldn't say it's "bland".. But, definitely a mixed bag. Â Hit-and-miss, etc. You can't ignore your lessons even after you become a star

GloZell Green 11,723
I don't get what you mean by bland tbh  because it's not that. i just think people can't connect to it as much because they're covers and Gags usually has deep meaning you know? But she basically did great considering that the Jazz audience is terribly low. Lady Gaga | Shakira
PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
While yes I own Kenny G albums, and enjoy music without lyrics, I cannot will myself to find significance in c2c. I enjoyed Bang Bang, but only because I love the original Cher version, but I find modern jazz and jazz classic covers to be, shall I dare, a step under what I expect from gaga. For those of you who like it, I'm glad you find relevance in this whole c2c Tony Bennet rendezvous gaga has done, but I equate is on the same level as Vegas resedencies: music careers girls at the end of their careers, where they go, to musically die. Sorry but not really
