This is politics, do you have something concrete in your mind ? I don't understand what you mean by this a--logy. International rules of engagement clear declares that a country can shoot down fighter jets violating their airspace; Russian jets were warned before. User 352
Turkey is supporting ISIS, everybody knows that. Nobody - US or Russia - bombed the ISIS really hard. All have their own interests. Perhaps it changed in last days with France and Russia. 1 hour ago, Simon said: erdogan and putin are both crazy The most politics and elites are crazy, also in western states. Western States killed so much people in last years, if this didn't caused by ill brains, then the propaganda works also in west very well (:

Turkey SUPPORTED ISIS for political interest in the past, US did so. I emphasized that it was for political interests because some deluded ignorant christian conservatives think that Turkey is muslim so it supports ISIS which is totally ridiculous. Search 2015 Ankara bombings, ISIS committed the deadliest terrorist attack of history of Turkey; and constantly threatens Turkey because Turkey does not apply any sharia laws which means Turkey, and its citizens who support the secular republic are infidels muslims for ISIS. After 2014, Turkey cannot play political games by funding ISIS for economic benefits etc since they committed deadliest terrorist attack of Republic History, and also kidnapped 49 Turkish diplomats in 2014. About Erdogan being crazy: Erdogan is crazy, but unlike Putin, Erdogan doesn't seem to have balls made out of steel which is reason why Putin is dangerous overall; while Erdogan is only dangerous to turks
Luc 4,776
Russia will probably act like they don't care because they want France to repeal sanctions on them hence why Putin's been licking Hollande's ass lately.

MelbHawker 6,583
With ISIS in power at the moment, I really think every other nation should minimise any sort of conflict and unite to fight this evil that is threatening us all. Unity defeats singularity. ISIS is 1; everyone else is many.

True, but tbh I don't believe that any country is sincerely only interested in getting rid of ISIS. - Russia is an ally of Assad, when jet was shot down, Russia was on operation against Syrian Rebels to benefit Assad's regime in an area where there is no ISIS presence. - Turkey wants Assad gone, because Assad's forces were targeting Syrian Turkmens (turkic people closely related to turkish people). Also Turkey is constantly sending weapons to Turkmen forces to sustain safety which is a more important concern for Turkey compared to Assad, or ISIS. Of course, they all are interested in getting rid of ISIS, but there are other factors involved too.

They did the same thing to finland, estonia and many other countries; NATO warned them so many times. Except, these countries did not take action... Russia deserved it ... Turkey's action was totally in legal boundaries. And if there was no NATO, Russia would still not attack Turkey... A war is never a joke, or a child's game. For their GDP per capita is even lower than Turkey. A big scale war means seemingly decreasing life quality for russian citizens.... Believe me nobody takes these kinds of actions without considering its consequences. By not listening to warnings about airspace violations Russia was giving the message that they do not respect territorial sovereignty of other countries, they got an answer. We know that Turkey is not at the par with Russia military-wise. But Turkey's military power also is not that insignificant that it would let Russia go without any problem no matter what they do. I don't understand what you expect. Should turks give every right to Russian Army not to respect Turkish territory ?
