SHORT SUMMARY:

Russian Fighter Jets violated Turkish Airspace on Operation against Free Syrian Army (not ISIS) in Syria in order to help Assad's Forces. Turkish Airforces shot down Russian fighter jet for violating Turkish Airspace despite 10 warnings made in 5 minutes as Russian jet approached Turkish Airspace.

Putin went public, threatened Turkey with serious consequences.

NATO said Turkey had right to down Russian jet; radar images of Turkish Airforces was matching with their radar pics, called for cool-headedness from both sides. US, and UK also supported Turkey's right to protect its territorial sovereignty.  Turkish Prime Minister and President said that attack was not specifically targeting Russia and fighter jets from any country who violate Turkish Airspace despite warnings would be shot down.

Putin's spokesperson clarified that "serious consequences" doesn't have any reference to military action or war.

Here's the news guys...

Turkish Air Force reported that a Sukhoi SU-24 Fencer was shot down by 2 Turkish F-16s after violating airspace 10 times in 5 minutes from Syrian Border. It turned out to be Russian Airplanes supposedly bombing ISIS targets. I said supposedly since daily mail was approaching the claim as it was not for sure true.

"Rumours of a jet being shot out of the sky come amid heightening tensions between Russian president Vladimir Putin and the West." (not a rumor anymore)

At an emergency meeting, NATO warned of the 'extreme danger' of such violations and condemned the incursions.

Last week Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said: 'Our rules of engagement are clear whoever violates our airspace.

'The Turkish Armed Forces are clearly instructed. Even if it is a flying bird, it will be intercepted,' he added, while playing down the idea of 'a Turkey-Russia crisis'."

PS: Lol, I hope Putin don't get super mad; that guy is crazy... Turkish Media is speculating that Putin is having an emergency security council meeting in Russia.

UPDATE:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/08/nato-ready-to-deploy-forces-to-defend-turkey-against-any-threats

"NATO is ready to deploy troops to defend NATO member Turkey against threats from southern border. "

The US Department of State repeated accusations that a large majority of Russia’s military strikes in Syria have not been aimed at Isis or jihadis tied to al-Qaida, and have instead targeted the moderate Syrian opposition.

“Greater than 90% of the strikes that we’ve seen them take to date have not been against Isil [Isis] or al-Qaida-affiliated terrorists,” said a spokesman, John Kirby.

"NATO,  Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, has said allied assessment of the incident shows that the Russia warplane did fly into Turkish airspace."

Putin : "Turkey downing of Russia jet 'stab in the back' executed by terrorists' accomplices."

Obama: "Turkey has right to defend itself and its airspace." "The strikes against the moderate opposition only bolster the Assad regime," Obama said, noting that many of those opposition fighters have the support of Turkey and that the Russian strikes are taking place very close to the Turkish border.""Russia could play a more constructive role if it shifts the focus of its strikes to defeating ISIS,"

Russia was attacking Turkmen there, not Daesh. Good action from Turkey.

I did not know that they were attacking Turkmen villages. What is Russia's benefit from it tho ?

The cold war already taught us that even the most war mongering nations on Earth are smart enough to not engage in nuclear warfare unless provoked.

Lol that's what I thought, then I was like it might not be so bad if he decides to bomb more conservative cities, then I realized if it was left to Putin, he would bomb Istanbul on the day of gay pride parade.

To be serious though, it is very unlikely because Turkey is a NATO country; and Russia attacking Turkey would start a WW3. NATO article 5 : "Collective defence means that an attack against one Ally is considered as an attack against all Allies."

Turkey truly is the craziest b---h in the conflict... not even properly fun.

What is your reasoning behind saying this ? Because I think it is clearly misled.

There is no political move, tho. Russian jets also violated Turkish Airspace last month; and publicly warned by NATO.

This is not something extreme. International Airspace rules are clear. Every single country would do the same for fighter jets violating their airspace.

every move is somewhat reasonable, but if you look at it like a game, Turkey seems to be one shady b---h of a player. and it's no game.
