Do you really want me to throw out Gaga's desperate tweets during the Applause and ARTPOP era? Gaga's been about wanting to have chart success since The Fame era. She tossed out the "muzic nawt teh bling" once things were falling apart.

this video is just the biggest drag to debunk your claim and backup mine:

so is Gaga "a fake artist" for wanting chart success...?

From that a--lysis I'm assuming that you didn't understand ANYTHING about the ARTPOP era InSHNuh.jpg also I don't understand how that's relevant to the topic.

OT: I don't think she should be too chart obsessed, if she really wants artsy for her next era she should write from the heart and just give it her all despite commercial success. Anywho can't wait to see what she does.

Is this video pitched? She sounds so unlike her, she sounds like she was about to cry and I kinda felt bad for her. :laughga: and call me ignorant but I didn't know pop stars had conversations like that, as if they were on a pop forum :laughga:

btw I'm not saying Gaga should put sales above everything else but if only Gaga had conversations like that with her team about G.U.Y.... maybe things would've been better  (she probably told them to fck off and *music not the bling*)

Seriously like the guy in the video said, it's not that difficult to understand that the artRAVE was simply not enough to promote a third single.

There's a snippet of her talking with a team about wanting Shiza and other tracks on the radio as singles but nothing about it charting

Sure artists can promote their ****, but Gaga doesn't care if her song didn't go #1 or #10.

Besides how do we know her label didn't ask her to tweet people?

Yes she does care. Any true Little Monster that isn't deluded knows that she wants another smash hit.

She built her career on an obsession with popularity and fame. It's pretty safe to say it's still important to her :rip:

Why is she talking like a 10 year old? And the part where she didnt want her manager saying "#128". Well it makes it more obvy her "artistry" is fueled by how it plays on the charts. It went #1 anways after putting Kanye on it.

If you're a mainstream artist, I'm pretty sure numbers (both sales and positions) are important for you to stay relevant.

Wow...that was bad...especially when 5 singles from TD went #1 and she's freaking out about numbers to an EXTREME...not that artists don't want their music to do well but she acts like not a single song went #1...TD was her most successful album to date!

However, when you're used to it and EXPECT it...yeah you become paranoid when it doesn't instantly go #1...just like Rihanna with R8

This video also revealed something...why she released LFN? Cuz she wanted a UK hit?
