Reminder of Gaga's Greatness

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes, after going through so many negative comments, (while also trying to avoid them), I start doubting Gaga's capabilities. I'm not sure why I let the negativity actually influence my opinion, but it does. When that does happen, however, I rewatch that Grammy performance of Born This Way (https://youtu.be/xl0N7JM3wZk) and I remember exactly who the hell I'm in love with. This performance just shows everything that's great about Gaga imo- that amazing voice, her crazy but awesome looks, good dancing, killer piano skills, the attitude, the passion- I feel like its all there.

Do any of you guys experience this? And if so, what do you do to reassure yourselves that Gaga is the greatest?

PS: This is my first GGD post. I've loved my experience on the site for the most part. I must say, you guys make hilarious comments

This sums up basically every reason why Gaga is so intensely unlike any other on her level of fame. Energy, enthusiasm, creative control, independence, self-awareness. Her impact on pop culture may be part of her legacy but what's so 'great' about Gaga is that she isn't like anybody else.

Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more?

It's true, I really experience the same thing. Especially people commenting negatively about her AHS performance. I don't know how they manage to convince me that she's anything less than the extremely talented and hardworking goddess that she is. I need to learn to ignore mean comments about her because they come from a place of jealousy and ignorance.

Welcome to GGD!

That performance is EPIC. Her choreo was amazing seeing as how she's in high heels. Plus, her vocals sounded amazing. And the organ was just great. The entrance, the outfits, ugh! It was a killer!

Yes, all of the things you mention show her greatness.   And to me, her greatness also includes her compassion and dedication to helping people, spreading kindness, love, strength, bravery, art, creativity, and positivity and leading by her own good example.  I think she helps people every day just by leading her life, just by being herself.

I live outside the space time continuum.

One of the reasons 'Born this Way' is so special to me is because it was her first release after 'The Fame Monster' aka, when every news media outlet in the WORLD was waiting with baited breath to see what she was going to do next. And she seized that opportunity to share a message of love, acceptance and equality no matter who you are. It was absolutely the finest thing any person could have done with such an opportunity. And she did it --- BIG!!! Most radio plays any one song has ever received on a single day in the United States. Way to use your "fame" for good, Lady Gaga! I love you.

It's weird, I catch myself doubting sometimes, too... and it just comes out of nowhere. Then again, I let people's opinions get to me, especially if they catch me in a weak moment. But for me, it's as simple as craving to hear one of her songs. Hair, for example, will cause to remind me what Gaga has done for me, my self esteem and what not, which is why I love her so much, and how I'll probably always be a devoted monster. Even if, God forbid, she's no longer a "big thing" I will always love her.

Same here... Let the world melt away and yet... when I think about the impact this individual has had on how I view myself, it is monumental. Forget industry/media accolades. Her accomplishments are so far beyond all of that. She's won our hearts and she is a champion for loving ourselves, in a way that no celebrity has EVER been before her. Yes, other's have attempted to same, but no one has made it as literal as Gaga.
