why do people care so much about gaga's commercial success on here?

Because she deserves recognition every once in a while.  Whereas most people I wouldn't consider "artists" get too much praise and attention

Plus, it's OK to want Gaga to have a successful career...I mean she sure does after ARTPOP...why else get back to dark music and working with RedOne? Yeah...she did that JUST for us....right... :laughga:

i get the concern but in reality she's not going to be able to smash like she did in '10,'11, or like anyone else.... her success depends on us fans to buy her music and support by streaming. she will have moderate success but she will never be huge like she was. don't u guys realize this? i feel like many people on here are faux stanning in hopes gaga will become a trend again with her comeback album :toofunny: hate to see the faux stans start turning on her on here once the era really starts.

Only a person living in complete delusion would think that she'll ever do anything that approaches the 2008-2010 Era.

You can only take the world by storm once.  After that, just hope the die-hard fans stay with you (and that those fans keep giving enough of a s--tt) so that you can keep filling the coffers.

Gaga's set for life financially. She'd be cheating herself if she started giving a s--tt what anyone thinks.

If people want to come along for the ride, cool. If not, she could care less.

Well, the bigger the sales, the bigger the budget for the videos, performances, shows.

The better the sales, the more likely she can play in Stadiums and design her shows bigger because the sponsors are willing to give more money. That's why Interscope stopped investing in ARTPOP after the Album came out and Gaga wasn't doing promotion.

This, actually, but apart of that, music not the bling. :green:

I want huge commercial success as well as critical acclaim because she needs this in order to fund her career and allow her to explore her ideas.

This clearly makes me a 'faux stan'?   I hate those pretentious fans who dictate who is and isn't a real fan.  Some like a--lysing the charts,  some her fashion,  some her lyrics and some like to just listen to her music.  None of these are better than the other.

Let's not pretend Gaga isn't thirsty for a #1 as well.

Of course she won't become 2010 famous again. That was a completely different time when she was still new on the scene and full of intrigue and mystery. She's been around for 7 years now.

What I think most people want is a comeback similar to Britney with "Womanizer" or Beyonce with "Drunk on Love". Ultimately if she gets a smash hit, the success might be fleeting, but at least it will have happened so that Gaga doesn't get labelled as a flash in the pan, basically.

I honestly think very few people on here actually believe she could become 2010 famous again and sustain that fame.  I've never encountered someone who seriously thinks that.

Too early to say that. In depends on her skill at this point. And  on her evolution as a person, her character.

If she becomes big at movies, she can reach an audience that has condemn her already, depending on her performance and her choices for roles. If there's a chance to go even more mainstream than before is that way. And it can affect the way perceive her music as well.

It won't be 2009 or 2010. That Gaga is over. I think that happened the day her manager left. That aggrevisse approach, as if she was a product is over, or better it lingers..Gaga is still a enormous pop product

I still don't, from what I learned people just gonna hate either way.

Called her copying everyone in the business. Calling her crazy or desperate.

When she can't reoeat the same success, people will easily say she is done, she is failure, etc.

I am here for the music first and foremost. If she is become successful next time around, that is good, I will celebrate with her but I won't get obsessive over it, it is not the end of the world really. I am a fan for a reason, a little shake cause by waves, big or small on the boat won't make me jump ship easily.

This is me at haters basically

I hope she'll smash again, so she could come here in the Philippines and the rest of Asia.

Monsters depend on Gaga for a sense of self-identity and self-worth. They live vicariously through her. When Gaga is unsuccessful, they feel worthless.
