i get the concern but in reality she's not going to be able to smash like she did in '10,'11, or like anyone else.... her success depends on us fans to buy her music and support by streaming. she will have moderate success but she will never be huge like she was. don't u guys realize this? i feel like many people on here are faux stanning in hopes gaga will become a trend again with her comeback album :toofunny: hate to see the faux stans start turning on her on here once the era really starts.

Because some people like to observe and a--lyse charts and are excited when someone they admire do well, and that's totally okay. If they're only in it for the numbers then it's a little questionable, but why should you care? As long as you're happy as a fan then it doesn't really matter.

I haven't seen anyone say they think she'll reach TFM heights. As far as I can tell it's pretty much a unanimous view that her status during that time was rare for any artist to ever achieve. Maybe people have high expectations because they believe in her. I don't really think that's a bad thing. If you disagree with someone you could simply just move along

I just think that if she does well her "mission" gets accomplished. I think her purpose as Lady Gaga was to go as mainstream as possible and still be a great artist, so if she does that, she nailed it.

For me, commercial success is important so that she has more creative freedom and social impact. Also, bigger tours, larger than life videos, etc

Mobster

Because most Gaga fans live as martyrs of society and they are patiently waiting in their caves for the day Gaga gets that 2009 commercial success, to step outside and scream "I TOLD YOU"

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

I want her to do well but I don't care all that much whether she does or doesn't. I'm intrigued to hear what she would make if she decided to move away from the mainstream.

Of course she won't become 2010 famous again. That was a completely different time when she was still new on the scene and full of intrigue and mystery. She's been around for 7 years now.

What I think most people want is a comeback similar to Britney with "Womanizer" or Beyonce with "Drunk on Love". Ultimately if she gets a smash hit, the success might be fleeting, but at least it will have happened so that Gaga doesn't get labelled as a flash in the pan, basically.

I honestly think very few people on here actually believe she could become 2010 famous again and sustain that fame.  I've never encountered someone who seriously thinks that.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Because this is pop music, Gaga emerged as a pop artist, she released 4 pop albums, she attends pop music award shows, gives interviews to pop magazines, is played on pop radio, has mainly pop music fans, and pop is what she's best at in the eyes of the world.

In this genre you have to sell well to be appreciated, and there's nothing to debate.

unless she disembarks to jazz for life - then ok you would be right

Simple, people are drawn to success.

And then there is The bragging issue. She peaked really early and fans started The put her on The highest pedastal too early. Queen of pop after lke two albums? So that adds to the preasure. To live up those claims... Not everyone can slay really hard for 20+Years, like MJ and Madonna. They are The exceptions and hence their titles. (Even they had not so commercial moments, though mainly as they got older) Most of legends and big stars don't maintain absolute dominance like that. And its still perfectly allright.

Ofcourse its not "over yet" for Gaga. She can intheory rebound and start slaying again. But realisticly it doesnt look like that. She will remain a big star, but not royalty big. But I can be wrong, time will tell. Bring on The damn LG 5 already!!! :)

Well, the bigger the sales, the bigger the budget for the videos, performances, shows.

The better the sales, the more likely she can play in Stadiums and design her shows bigger because the sponsors are willing to give more money. That's why Interscope stopped investing in ARTPOP after the Album came out and Gaga wasn't doing promotion.
