One of Germany's most successful artists has been internally chosen represent his country in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest: Xavier Naidoo. Some of the most renowned songwriters and producers have been asked to prepare songs for him, the six best out of which will be presented in a national final on February 18th. The entry which Xavier Naidoo will sing on stage in Stockholm will be picked by the German TV viewers.

The decision to send Xavier Naidoo has provoked harsh criticism, due to his erratic behavior in the past. Just last year he gave a speech at a Nazi rally and spoke favorably of the racist PEGIDA group and made several homophobic remarks on national television.

Really? I had no idea he was racist or homophobic, now I see him in a completely different light 

 

Well, like 70 % of all the People Who watch Esc are gay so He wont win anyway

In fact I haven't heard of him, however, I'm tolerant, I don't care about people's beliefs and opinions as long as they do not commit a crime, so if he is a good entertainer and people like him, I have no problem with him.
