FlopSlurper 34,336 Posted November 18, 2015 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I know most of you have no idea where Oman is, so I decided to make this thread about it, since today is the 45th National Day of Oman which is celebrated in the 18th of November, and it is actually a celebration of the Sultans birthday. So this is the map of Oman: Oman is a Sultanate, it boarders the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The leader of the country is called the Sultan and his name is Qaboos, he took over his father and revolutionised the country from the s--thole it was to the precious gem it is now, though the country has a rich history, it used to have the second strongest navy after the British (I don't recall the exact date of that) and it used to be an empire during the 1800s, here's a map of how it used to look: And here is a picture of his majesty the Sultan: Oman is considered one of the best if not the best country in the middle east when it comes to religious tolerance and peace. There hasn't been any wars, conflicts, anything, since he ruled the country. I dare you to go to any video about Oman and find a negative comment about the country or the hospitality and friendliness of the people there.
