lego 44,165
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie doesn’t want any Syrian refugees let into the United States — not even if they're orphaned toddlers. “I don’t think orphans under 5 are being, you know, should be admitted into the United States at this point. But you know, they have no family here. How are we going to care for these folks?” Christie said in an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt Monday. MJHolland 12,725
America is not a welfare state. These kids would die. Why would they come here? At BEST they'd be homeless for life. It doesn't make sense to send them to America.
Melech 9,900
Disgusting. history repeats over and over again. Especially in a country that claims to have freedom and considers itself as the best country in the world, this is really disappointing. innocent people especially children are the biggest losers of war. Even if they get accepted I don't wanna know how horrible the trauma must be.

I'm pretty sure that there are a lot people in the US who have enough people to build and give some shelter for refugees :)

They don't speak English, they have no labor skills, and they have no source of income from back home. They will never be able to find a job, English speakers of high school degrees can't even find work in this country. We don't have a welfare state where the government takes care of and coddles everybody like yours. They'd be homeless for life.

You are talking about orphan toddlers not having labour skills? lol Kids learn very fast english or any other language. And generally many Syrians have high education. The only reason your country exists (if it's alined with the US as most are) is because my country protects yours with my military. And the only way we can pay for that military is by being capitalistic. If you want to change that, you better be prepared to actually defend yourself if you ever go to war, which btw you'd never be able to afford because solecistic programs are ways too expensive. We pay for Europe's militaristic protection here in the U.S., you guys should at least take the refugees in under your self-described "amazing" socialist programs. Cocaine Heart 4,768
The level of selfishness is ****ing disgusting and as for the people of this site, there are no words for how thick headed most of you can be. We going to boo

We don't have funding for it and that's not going to change with thousands of refugee children coming into the country. They're better off almost anywhere else, why would you send them here? Seriously what is your argument?

My country existed long before the US did. Anyway this getting ay to off-topic, so I won't even bother getting your other points, though if every country would be a little more socialist, the world would be better. My points are entirely on topic. They all pertain to why the US just can't afford refugee children. But if you don't want to address them that's fine kiddo. Also if the world were a little more socialist, we'd be f*cked quite frankly. Ask any economist, cuz I have.

Military in Western nation is not really on-topic. The US could afford refugee children by putting higher taxes on the rich. And c'mon there is not even one single economist opinion.
