Finding out that one of the victims of the attacks was an American of Latinx descent who was studying abroad is REALLY hitting home for me... Like, this could've been ME if I decided to go to Paris instead of Salamanca.

Rest in peace, Nohemi Gonzalez.

I will continue to pray for those who have died in Paris. I don't know what else to do! I can't stop thinking about what happened. :(

What makes it so hard was she went to school here in the city I live in. It's hitting home with everyone here.

So what would you have all innocent civlians do? Stay home and wait for a bomb to kill them or a savage raid by ISIS to rape and plunder their home and take you as captive?

Yes we spend sh*tloads of time to find solutions just as we spent sh*tloads of time and money to fight the nazis in WW2 for example. The world is filled with bad people and right now people are risking their lives to get away from a certain death. No one puts their own child in an overcrowded boat which may sink crossing over to Europe if it wasn't their only hope.

What happend in Paris is what they're fleeing from. Jeez grow up.

Maybe it sounds more politically correct what you say but its very naive. Why they don't flee to Dubai for example?

What a sad situation. Not just for Paris, but for all humanity.

This is one of those things that makes you think about the loss of humanity, and also about how fragile life is. Massacres are something horrible, that reminds us about the dark side of the human being. Everyday, these kind of cases happen in the world.

Hope the families find some peace in their lives.

I hate when people say "Pray for this, Pray for that" where the f*ck was god when all of these tragedies happened ?

To be honest that's why i say something like "i'm sending you positive vibes" or "you're in my thoughts"...

I can understand some people "prefer" or don't mind praying, but i personally don't do it.

Ça fait longtemps qu'on a pas parlé, mais je te soutiens de loin. Bisous xxx.

"pray" doesn't always implicate a religious connotation at least in french but I think english too

I'm heartbroken. I can't wrap my mind around the evil that people have inside them to be able to kill like this. We are safe nowhere anymore-we are getting shot in movies, school, restaurants and concerts. It is really scary and living in NYC I am very nervous.

River

The borders are wide open, today we did France-Italy and back by car.. no police, nothing..

This is how they want to keep us safe??? Really??

I can't express the fear that I have right now..

All my life I was under the shadow of terror when I lived in Israel and finally in France I felt safe, but yesterday everything came back again, the trauma, the fear, the paranoia, everything..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I really have no words. You've said it best.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Global peace is something that'll never be experienced by humans - only after the Earth dies will global peace occur.

There's pure evil in existence - it's everywhere. It's terrorist groups, it's murderers, it's rapists, it's money - it's politicians as well. Each form of evil places the blame onto the next, and believes its' own 'superiority'. Earth is and will always be a dangerous place. Not humans deserve life -  not those who are concerned with killing, hurting, raping and separating the innocent. We as a people (especially in the Western parts of the world) have become to soft with all of this evil; those who can make a real difference are all talk, and no action. It's getting worse. The innocent nations need to unite and fight. It'll never stop, and unfortunately all it's doing is becoming worse.

You know we are currently in the most peaceful time in human history right? Violent crime has been dropping steadily for decades.

She was from my hometown. I can't imagine what her parents are going through. :( It truly is a worldwide attack with worldwide consequences.
