Will Taylor Swift continue to be the biggest music superstar after 1989?

Look at what happened with Adele.  People thought her long break could hurt her and she came back stronger than ever breaking all sorts of records.  Although, Taylor Swift is no Adele.  I don't think Adele's records will be broken any time soon.

Taylor Swift will no doubt make the same splash she did with 1989. With her star power, I think her next era will be even bigger than 1989. You're right, she's no Adele, But Taylor is more than capable of breaking Adele's records.

It's hard to be the biggest superstar when you're not putting out any music. But I think Adele's taken control of that role anyway. 

As far as future success, I unfortunately think the next album won't be as successful as 1989. Its sad to see that so many people are against her now. It's almost like the next album might be her ARTPOP era. People need a break from her for a bit because right now there's a feeling (at least for me) that there's nothing novel about her work and image because she's been extremely present in our pop culture this past year. Its kind of like when you get a new video game and play it wayy too much, you start to get sick of it. Then you a new video game comes along and you're so into it. It will take time for you to miss that original video game and actually enjoy playing it again.
