Oil Prices Could Collapse Again

Instead of recovering oil prices may stay depressed and fall below $40/barrel again by end of this year and stay that way at least first few months of 2016

Sluggish demand from China and Japan (2nd and 3rd biggest consumers) and OPEC fighting for market share back from Shale, Oil Sands, and Deep Sea Drillers means the market will remain over supplied

Next year the world is expected to produce 500,000 barrrels a day more than it consumes. While a reduction from the 2 Million a day oversupply this year, it means full storage hubs will continue to build stockpile

****ing finally, get those renovable sources finally on top. I'm tired of this sick society destroying a planet as if we were entitled to it and then we could move on to the next one.

Uhm,  capitalism is the reason that renewable energy will become the primary source in the future.

Thats halerious. I was JUST reading about Norways economy!

We have an oil city too in Northern Alberta. Its called Fort McMurray. This town of 100,000 people is single handedly responsible for 20% of Canadas green house emissions thanks to oil industry

First of all capitalism spured innovationa that lead to renewables being possible

second of all not all these renewables are very reliable and practicle. For example my geographical region in Ontario is terrible for any of the major renewables so what are use suppostu do???? Weve resorted to a lot of nuclear and hydro electricity but thats all we can do

we are not by ocean so tidal power is off... Hardly any geothermal spots... Sunlight hours are short especially in winter... And wind is a hit and miss here

renewables are fillers for now in some areas. They need to be improved!!!

PS: were talking about crude oil here. Its mostly used for transportation and oil products. Green energies have very little correlation to it u less ur talking baterry powered cars which isnt really renewable either

but these technologies are all ready to go, so why is it not being pushd now? Because oil companies want to keep making money.

I just dont believe that there is enough of an effort put into cleaner energy because powerful companies want to continue profiting off of long-standing practices that are shown to be destroying the earth and depleting its vitality.

Its like a side project and it should be the main project. I just find a fundamental flaw in our righteous human attitude which places man-made currency and the economy before the preservation and protection of the only known planet in the entire universe known thus far to be capable of sustaining life.

Yep.  But renewable electricity production needs to be 'profitable' or no body will use it,. Even socialistic economies.

I agree with what ur saying. And i support subsities for green energies to help them compete and grow

u cant blame companies tjo. No one is gonna waste yheir life trying to grow a company thats gonna run at a loss thats why Government for now needs to support it

addiotionally we need to be realistic. Renewables have improved a lot but are still often unreliable (in some geographical regions more than others)

For now it can make up a big part but you still need other electricity sources to fill in for now. I like Natural Gas because it pollutes less than coal

in time we can phase out Coal and Natural Gas completely but renewables need to be improved more before we can trust them with all our needs

As for crude oil electric cars have their own issues. Their bateries use limited resources as well and recycling never gets back 100% of original material. Over long term if all cars go electric we may have other issues

As for planes and trucks they have to use oil for now. Without these big oil companies ppl hate so much we be in trouble to move goods around
