Melech 9,900
"Justin Bieber is speaking out about coping with depression "all the time." "And I feel isolated," he says in the cover story for NME's latest issue, out Friday. "You're in your hotel room and there are fans all around, paparazzi following you everywhere, and it gets intense. When you can't go anywhere or do anything alone you get depressed. I would not wish this upon anyone." Bieber, 21, tells the magazine he gets lonely on the road – to the point where he relates to the late Amy Winehouse, whose struggles with fame and addiction are explored in the recent film Amy. PartySick 161,052
On the one hand, I understand and sympathize with him...on the other, it is not ok to be canceling shows while you're on stage for trivial reasons, tipping over chairs, drag racing, assaulting people, tagging buildings, and peeing in mop buckets *inhale* but I get it. That stuff killed both MJ and Amy. Stay strong, Biebs, and get some help dude. You're stinky
Phoenix 17,395
Well he became a worldwide superstar at a really young age, he was still forming as a person, all this was obviously too much for him. We see older celebrities struggling with this stuff, can you imagine how hard it would be for a really young mind which is still like a spounge absorbing everything around. It is too much to handle. I hope he gets better, he is in a weird and quite hard to deal with, part of his life now. I'm glad he is trying to focus on what's really important in life. 💎

RAMROD 109,776
Returning to lime light is the least wise thing to do if you understood you are depressed. Go somewhere far away and quiet for few years then returns. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ hating pop music doesn't make you deep (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Harry 26,836
This is not hard to believe, but people will undoubtedly still drag him cos it's easy. He started so young... most who achieve that level of fame at such a young age have bad/destructive behaviours. It's been clear for a while that something isn't totally right with him and he needs help, honestly.

That may be true, but in that case maybe Gaga shouldn't have been making music over the years too. The media (and public) should change the attitudes in which they scrutinise celebrities. Artists shouldn't have to stop doing what they love just because people are assholes. The people should stop being assholes. That's how I see it, anyway. You can tell it takes a big toll on him and he doesn't handle things very well. I think it would be better for him. ▌│█║▌║▌║ before I am Canadian, I am Chromatican ║▌║▌║█│▌

Gaga is much different personality than Bieber, though younger, she have enough common sense, and she didn't lash out to people near her to feel better, also her life is different too, so we should never drag her into his discussion. An exile will be good for him because his life is riding on fast lane, too fast, even, and he doesn't really have anyone to confide in with, everyone close go him mostly wants something off of him. He'll be contractually obliged to do certain things and there will no doubt be people around him and at his label that want to milk him, like all big stars. He's still young and probably doesn't get an awful lot of say in the business decisions, none of us really know the situation. This just seems like a sort of call for help and I hope people around him are aware of it and support him. Just now, RAMROD said: People not gonna stop doing what they do to their idols. To their idols? Lol the people dragging Justin on a daily don't consider him their idol. People respond to depression in different ways and just because Gaga dealt with hers internally and punished herself and Justin tends to lash out at the world, it doesn't make either less valid. She's another major star who has also openly discussed their depression, so I will bring her into the discussion. I don't think people realise that he was just a kid when he became famous. He was fifteen/sixteen and he literally became a laughing stock, left right and centre. Most people wouldn't be able to deal with that at an adult age, and he hadn't even hit his twenties yet. He didn't get to experience life as an adult without ridicule and hassle on a global scale and that's something none of us can understand or relate to, so I think we should cut him a little slack.
