Omg. How long ago was that?

Employees legally represent a company and so the company is responsible for their actions. It's like that for many reasons. 1) companies have more money 2) companies need an incentive to hire good people and 3) a company can't blame it's employees when it screws up and try to use them as a legal barrier.

True they're Apple employees but these are views that don't represent the company and are completely personal issues a group of specific people have. They don't ask you are you racist in interviews...even if they did you can say no and get the job. This wasn't an "accident" or human error...this was a person acting out as themselves...not a professional employee so I "UNDERSTAND" Apple had to take responsibility to be poilitically correct but it's the employee who should be fired and issue an apology to the helpless customers

Well, most companies that higher low level employees like this do have questionnaires that ask some pretty basic questions to determine if you are prejudicial. They do this because their employees do in fact represent them.

This isn't just one guy who is racist. This is one guy who works for Apple who is racist. So it is Apple's responsibility, legally and ethically, and it's not just to be "PC."

It's the Aussies, not Apple tbh.

Many Australians are racists.

Still remember how Asians, Arabs, and POC were asked to walk the separate lane in Melbourne airport from the Caucasians for immigration check.

You are so correct - and being an Australian myself i am ashamed of my people who act like this and condone this behaviour!

Disgusting. Were they fired?

And they represent the company, so Apple should apologize and give some free stuff to these guys as compensation.

I feel like giving them free stuff would be crossing a line. Yes, it'd be nice, but it creates this sinkhole of 'act suspicious in an apple store, get free stuff'. I'm not saying these kids don't deserve a deep apology, but free devices? No no no..

Did they really act suspicious? Have you seen the video Luiz posted? Those stores have cameras, security and those metal detectors (or what they're called) in case someone tries to steal something. It's humiliating to be treated this way. They deserve a compensation. Apple won't bankrupt from it.

No, I didn't mean that they were acting suspicious, but it'd setup a precedent. I know it's humiliating, but merchandise won't make this go away. Honestly, they should get scholarships from Apple. Devices though, just aren't a good route.

It's disguising, they should be fired. End racism across the world and its garbage supporters.
