Ted Cruz fully supports idea of electing gay president

Presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said Friday that he believes anyone who wants to be president must fear God and pray daily.

Speaking at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa, Cruz joined other GOP presidential candidates for a discussion about the persecution of Christians in the U.S. and around the world. After some very extreme, very weird comments about homos-xuality, right-wing pastor Kevin Swanson introduced Cruz to the stage to ask him how important it was for candidates to submit to Jesus Christ as "the king of the President of the United States."

"Any president who doesn't begin every day on his knees isn't fit to be commander-in-chief of this country," responded Cruz.

Even with this shockingly progressive stance, I just can't really get behind him.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

It's hilarious that he thinks a fear of the afterlife will keep people in line and not their own moral compass. If you need a god in your life to do the right thing, you're immoral and don't deserve to hold power above anyone.

I feel like most republicans forgot about the age of romanticism and how it made a ton of people question the bible, god, ect which can still be observed even today. nobody except the radicals live in fear of the afterlife. you see people afraid of death. afraid of meeting satan? no. :smh: this ain't the 1600/1700's anymore, people

I can't even begin to discuss how atrocious and disgusting the "Christian" event that three Republican Presidential Candidates spoke at was, so I will let you see it for yourself.
