Telephone fits amazingly on the album because it's like a refresher after that BR, Alejandro, Monster, DITD sound. It comes as the 6th track where it's nice to hear something different and lighter.

The song/video was totally worth it because it's iconic. I wish they would've released Monster as the 4th single though :noparty:

Likewise. Monster was before Alejandro in the promo video of the album and MONSTER as a single with like a continuation of Love Game when she gets on the train alone and its dark and evil and a hot guy comes in and then eats her heart and then she becomes a monster... flawless

Duella Dvil

hmmmmm...... Lady Gaga goes to a prison, women beating each other in a prison yard, mass killing people at a diner via poison, and the kill a cow comment?

Just because a video is colorful doesn't mean it is dark. Telephone is actually pretty twisted tbh.

like seriously... Clockwork Orange, The shining.... Stanley Kubrick ......

To think that Gaga still could have been performing those songs on her tours if Interscope wasn't so restrictive.

Everything else I agree with the above I am unsure of what you mean?

Is she now contractually obliged to not sing these songs because they weren't singles??

Kick ass song. Kick ass video.

Not a chance it could be referred to as a mistake.

Bad Bromance

No way!  Telephone is an awesome song that breaks up the album nicely.  The video gave us the continuation of the Paparazzi video and a video which I personally love.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

Nope. It was a good single choice too. The video is all over the place but I love it to death.

Actually one of her most cohesive videos.

I like the concept but I can't say it was executed too well.
