Economy 52,861
Canadas Largest Corporation (excluding banks) "Suncor Energy" is seeking to take advantage of Low oil prices to buy up as many struggling oil companies and resource rich land as possible They have began to target several oil sands companies in Canada and have subtly suggested they may expand their aquisitions south of the Border to buy up failing US Shale companies. Suncor has lots of cash reserves and makes 1/3 of its revenue in refining which is highly profitable right now. Additionally their investments in new technologies and efficiency allow them to produce oil at $30/barrel (lowest in Canada) allowing them to remain profitable even as most other Canadian/US companies currently run losses
