SKANK 14,288
Unless Raven is inciting acts of violence, she should be free to share her point of VIEW on THE VIEW without fear of being fired. Having an unpopular opinion or having an opinion that others find offensive is not a fireable offense.Rosie O'Donnell basically insinuated that George Bush orchestrated the September 11th attack on the World Trade Centers and called US troops terrorists for their part in the Iraq invasion, Whoopie Goldberg has defended both Woody Allen and Roman Polanski, Elizabeth Hasselback believes girls who are raped by a family member should not be allowed to have an abortion, Sherry Shepard thinks the world is a few thousand years old...if we ditched every host of The VIEW who had a point of VIEW that was "problematic" THE VIEW would not exist. craig 680
Raven Symone is a black lesbian who is ashamed to be a black lesbian. She isn't confident in herself and therefor shouldn't be a representative for those communities. And it's sad that they have her there to represent the LGBT community, which she does poorly at, and yet the conservative Christians get beloved Candace. It only gives bible-bumpers a one-up on the LGBT community. If she was a straight white person from a Republican Southern state, would you demand her to represent those values? When liberal whites embrace leftist cultural politics, couldn't they be accused of being ashamed of their identity too?
AlexanderLevi2 5,849
If people stopped watching, then they would try to find someone else but as long as the sheep-minded keep watching and clicking on stories about her... She's staying on. Currently listening to Joanne

It's free speech. Just as it's free speech for viewers to show their displeasure at what is being said by boycotting the show or voicing their dislike of a host (or two or three). The petition appears to me as an act of free speech, which the Network has the right to refuse to listen to the petitioners (even if it costs them ratings), and Raven can continue voicing her views, on and/or off the camera (with/without a network sponsored paycheck). I will say this: at least she doesn't try to turn herself into a victim/martyr like those Duck Dynasty guys. What entitled assholes. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
