My earlier post is by ME, an Englishwoman in my late fifties called Christine...  just as I said in that post.  I'm NOT "an alter ego of Gaga".

I hope this comment posts correctly... for do not know why, when I clicked on the "respond" button, that my earlier post came up in the box.

Hello, I'm an Englishwoman in my late fifties, and came across this site this afternoon, after having been reading the posts on this article on another site.  And thus thought I'd post some words, here, too, after having read the comments so far, here.

Firstly, however, I must make it clear that I'm most definitely NOT any form of "Christian" (nor am I a Muslim, Hindu, etc); however, since October 1994 I  most definitely AM (factually) spiritually-enlightened (for being "religious" and being spiritually-enlightened are, in the main, two completely different things).

These experiences by those who are "dying" are NOT imaginary!!  They are very, very real.  We all DO survive 9in our eternal, immortal soul/spirit form) the very illusory event that's so very wrongly termed "death".

When, in October 1994, I came across, in my then local library in London, here in the UK,, a book which piqued my interest, it acted as a catalyst: causing me to initiate a very extensive, indepth, very scholarly programme of research into whether there MIGHT exist objective evidences supporting the claim that we survive [in soul form] the death of our physical body "coat". In the 21 years since then, I've carried out a very great deal of scholarly research into what happens to be this ultimate life-truth, including my having read more than 750 (seven hundred and fifty+) excellent, high-quality, scholarly books on the veracity of this: that we DO all survive (in our eternal, immortal soul/spirit form) the very illusory, very misinterpreted "death".

I should make the point, here, that of the many thousands of excellent books written relating the very real truth of this, a large percentage have been written by educated, PROPERLY-informed scientists, doctors, psychiatrists, etc etc.  They who have discovered, through indepth research, that the ACTUAL nature of the event given the term "death" is so very, very differern

Barnabesk:  Just as I feared, my earlier post was printed underneath my short reply to you, a few minutes ago.    The "reply" box HAS now appeared in the way I'd assumed it would do, the first time: ie, with my earlier post NOT already printed.

I repeat what I said in my note to you of a few minutes ago: that NO, I'm NOT "an alter ego of Gaga".  I'm the person I stated myself to be - an Englishwoman in my late fifties called Christine.

WHY would you think otherwise than what I'd said???

Yeah I believe that, moments before my Grandad passed away he was smiling to the sky and talking to his mum and dad in utter happiness. It's so comforting to hear :)

These experiences by those who are "dying" are NOT imaginary!!  They are very, very real.  We all DO survive (in our eternal, immortal soul/spirit form) the very illusory event that's so very wrongly termed "death".

When, in October 1994, I came across, in my then local library in London, here in the UK, a book which piqued my interest, it acted as a catalyst: causing me to initiate a very extensive, indepth, very scholarly programme of research into whether there MIGHT exist objective evidences supporting the claim that we survive [in soul form] the death of our physical body "coat".

They who have discovered, through indepth research, that the ACTUAL nature of the event given the term "death" is so very, very different from what It merely seems to be, when interpreted at its very illusory face-value mere appearance.

There are a number of reasons why we do all survive (in soul/spirit form) that illusory event.  One being that we in fact live in a multi-dimensional cosmos. Ie, that there is far, far more to reality/existence than merely what we can see and hear with the physical eyes and ears.  There exist, in very real truth, spiritual dimensions of this multi-dimensional cosmos - and it is this spiritual dimension we all return to, after the transitional event that's wrongly been called "death".  A second reason we do survive that event is this: that, contrary to what the majority of the mainstream, materialistic scientific establishment merely assume, the mind/consciousness is NOT "merely a by-product of physical brain activity".  In actual fact, the non-physical mind/consciousness is completely separate from the 'mere' physical brain - the non-physical mind/consciousness operates/manifests THROUGH the physical brain, yes, but it is NOT created BY the physical brain.

Countless millions of educated, properly-informed people, worldwide, have researched, in great depth, the veritable wealth of multi-faceted, objective evidences which demonstrate that we do all survive "death".  And one of the many facts re. survival of 'death' and of the very real existence of the afterlife is that everyone IS collected by a [wrongly-termed] "deceased" family member or friend, at the time of their "death", and that [one or more] "dead" relatives then accompany their newly-"dead" relative back to the very real spirit dimension.

People on earth who possess the very real spiritual gift of clairvoyant vision also are able to see these "deceased" people who come to collect their "dying" family member, when the latter is about to do what is so very wrongly termed "die".

So no, the afterlife is NOT a fabricated thing; it exists, in very real truth, for everyone.

As a salesman, I can honestly say that you need to improve your pitch. You have read books by amazingly intelligent people - far more clever than the reader of your passionately vague monologue. Well, that means it must be true.

But wait... where ddid this happen before?

Someone reads some book by, apparently, supreme beings, and it turns out to be utter bolony. I think the book/s started with a B or a G.

Furthermore,  when people drift in and out of consciousness they have visions. When my aunt was dying, she swore she saw her dad. She also thought she was a pirate and that she was up a tree showing the boys her underwear aged 12. Perhaps she just looked a bit old for a 12 year old.

I'm fascinated by death, it's hard for me to process what will happen when I cease to exist. I personally think the hallucinations people experience when they're dying is just their imagination, clinging onto hope that there is an afterlife and won't accept the inevitable.

Laceface: Yes, what happened with your granddad was also experienced by my maternal grandmother and her son, my uncle, 24 hours before my maternal granddad passed back to spirit, back in 1999.  They, my grandmother and uncle, saw my granddad stretch out his arms to what appeared, to them, to be 'merely thin air'.  He was, however, responding to his being able to see one or more of his [wrongly-termed] "deceased" family members who had come to collect him and to accompany him back to the very real spirit dimensions.

There are many, many documentations of this very real phenomenon, going back centuries.  For it IS what takes place, minutes, hours, or a few days before we each return to the spirit dimensions from which we in fact originate.

See a further post of mine, some time after this one.

ShockPop, JamesFox, and Economy:

ShockPop:  What I wrote in my post yesterday was NOT "vague", every word of it happens to be the absolute truth.  As you will, one day, find out - ie, on the eventual day on which you do what is so very wrongly termed "die".  ALL sceptics will discover the very real truth of survival [in out eternal, immortal soul/spirit form] of the very illusory "death" on the eventual day on which they experience the very illusory "death".

JamesFox and Economy: NO, the event (that's WRONGLY termed "death") is most definitely NOT the end of our personal existence.  As you will, one day, each discover.  Why don't you carry out some research into this all-important subject, instead of wrongly assuming it means our extinction, annihilation.

In my initial post, yesterday, I mentioned the fact that I (as have countless millions of other educated people, worldwide, also done) have, in the last 21 years, carried out a very great deal of indepth, scholarly research into this vitally-important subject.  That my research includes my having read more than 750 [seven hundred and fifty+] excellent, high-quality, scholarly books on the topic.  I mentioned that, of the many thousands of books written on this, a large percentage of those have been written by educated, PROPERLY-informed scientists, doctors, psychiatrists, etc - they who have themselves carried out research, and who have, thus, learnt that the ACTUAL true nature of "death" is so very, very different from what it merely seems to be, when interpreted at its very illusory, face-value mere appearance.

Below is just a "short" representative sample of the thousands of very high-quality, scholarly books available, which relate not only how and why we DO all survive (in our soul/spirit form) that event, but also relate the mountain-loads of multi-faceted, objective evidences which exist, which together demonstrate that we DO all survive that very illusory event.

So, here's a short representative sample of some of the excellent, very factually-informative books written on the veracity of this ultimate life-truth (it's a pity this site is set up so that posts are printed in double line-spacing format....):

"The afterlife experiments: breakthrough scientific evidence of life after death", by Professor Gry Schwartz [Prof. of Psychiatry, Neurology, Psychology, Surgery, and Medicine, at the Univ. of Arizona, USA]

"Your eternal self", by R Craig Hogan

"Glimpses of eternity", by psychiatrist, Dr Raymond Moody

"The art of dying: a journey to elsewhere", by psychiatrist, Dr Peter Fenwick

"Parting visions'", by paediatrician, Dr Melvin Morse

"Irreducible mind", co-authored by psychiatrist, DR Bruce Greyson

"Beyond physicalism: toward reconciliation of science and spirituality", by Edward Kelly and others

"Death is of vital importance: on life, death, and life after death", by Swiss-American psychiatrist, Dr Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

"Forever ours: a coroner's tales of life, death, and immortality", by Dr Janis Amatuzio

"Same soul, many bodies", by psychiatrist, Dr Brian Weiss

"A lawyer presents the evidence for the afterlife", by Victor Zammit

"The materialistic wall" by Bud Carroll

"Consciousness beyond life", by Dutch cardiologist, Dr Pim van Lommel

"The secret of the soul", by William Buhlman

"I'm not dead, I'm different", by Hollister Rand

"Life before life: a scientific investigation of children's memories of previous lives", by psychiatrist, Dr Jim B Tucker

"Science and the afterlife experience: evidence for the immortality of consciousness", by Chris Carter

"Closer to the light", by paediatrician, Dr Melvin Morse

"The airmen who would not die", by John G Fuller

"Many mansions", by Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding

"Lychgate", by Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding

"You have been here before", by Dr Edith Fiore

"Heavenly hugs: comfort, support and hope from the afterlife", by Carla Wills-Brandon

"We don't die", by Joel Martin & Patricia Romanowski

"Love beyond life", by Joel Martin & Patricia Romanowski

"Death is an illusion", by Else Byskov

And many, many more, too.

And many, many more, too.

I respect your views, but I find it a bit inappropriate that you made an account on this forum (which is obviously first and foremost about Lady Gaga) just to "discuss" your views, if we can even call it that, since you seem to just be presenting your and others' views as objective truth that you can either accept or reject and that's that.

I am currently enrolled in a scholarly program and I can assure everyone that your way of presenting conclusions is the exact opposite what scholars are taught to do. Your concepts of skepticism, truth and right and wrong are highly inappropriate ways for a scholar to present herself with and, though I'm sure we all appreciate the reading list (which I agree is very interesting and worthy of discussion), no one is gaining anything here with your blatantly religious convictions presented as scientific, objective data and as a supposed scholar (if you did so much research on this for more than two decades, I'd like to know your name too, please) you should know that. And before you jump on this to call me a scientific materalist skeptic: I am in no way the skeptic you describe, but that does not mean I can't distinguish a scientific from a religious framework.

So out of respect for this community: you made the points you wanted to make, you referred to extensive reading for the people who are interested, now back off and take your "absolute truth" elsewhere if that's really all you care to discuss on this forum.

I really don't know why you've taken the tone you have.

For as far as I can see, you are the person who posted this article in the first place.  So if you didn't want it discussed, you shouldn't have posted it.  Logical, really, I would have thought.

And, as I mentioned in my initial post, the only reason I did post on this site yesterday is because I'd been reading this article on another site, and then saw it referenced on this one.  I'd never before heard of the latter (your Lady Gaga site,,,), and as an Englishwoman in my late fifties, have less than no interest in reading anything about this female (I have no idea who she is, other than that I've heard of her, and know she's some sort of singer).

It doesn't actually matter whether you regard what I've said on the survival of "death" truth as scholarly.  All that DOES matter is that it IS indeed 100% fact - 100% absolute truth.  As each and every sceptic/skeptic, worldwide, will discover, on the eventual days on which they do what is so very incorrectly termed "die".

Didymus:

Just a couple more points which I forgot to include in my above post.

The very real fact of everyone's survival (in our eternal, immortal soul/spirit form) of the death of our physical body "coat" is not "religious", but is a spiritual fact.  For, although many people are not aware of this, there's a very world of difference between being "religious" and being [factually] spiritual.  For they are two completely different things.

Also, what I've stated is factual. Which is why it's not (yet) accepted by the majority of the current 'orthodox' scientific establishment, worldwide.  For that establishment at present follows the [in fact, very, very incorrect] merely materialistic paradigm which currently holds sway on Earth.

There IS an ever-growing number of educated, PROPERLY-informed scientists, worldwide, who are very informed of the fact we all survive [in our essential soul/spirit form] the death of our physical body "coat".  However, the vast majority of that "scientific" establishment, worldwide, erroneously follows the merely materialistic paradigm.

And finally.  When I stated I'm a scholar, I was using the word in its meaning of "someone who has or shows knowledge, learning, or devotion to academic pursuits" (a definition of the word 'scholarly' in my Oxford Dictionary of English).  For I've been a passionate scholar (of very many, very diverse, big/important subjects in life) since the tender age of 9 or 10.  Ie, I was not using the word to mean I've written "papers" on one or more subjects.  Therefore it's not necessary for you to know my full name.

To repeat my initial point to you in my post to you just prior to this one.  If you did not want the subject of this article discussing, why did you post it in the first place...

it may be "factual" that this phenomenom occurs but what it actually means or causes it is not factual

it can be attributed to hallucinations, your subcontious mind attempting to self-comfort etc etc etc

no one is denying this happens but no one can say with certainty why it happens

spirits comig to take us back to another realm is merely 1 belief and 1 possible explanation (1 i dont agree with btw)

its fine to discuss thats what these threads are for. But you cant state opinions as if they were facts

Maybe it is a subconscious thing the brain does? What is the one thing you want to see the most before you lose the chance to do so forever (I don't believe in any afterlife btw)? Loved ones, a beautiful/really special moment in your life etc. And the brain recreates that for self comfort and to lessen the pain and the crushing amount of fear/anxiety, imo.

But then again there's some people that have 'visions' of deceased relatives and die/sicken afterwards. Like my grandmother. As she was alone in her home, she saw what appeared to be an image of her deceased father. Next day, she got "ill" (idk what the actual word is) with hypertension. She did survive, thankfully, but she is paralyzed now - it was that severe. Or her father, before her. He had visions of his deceased son for a week before his death.

But yeah, it can be scary, tragic, intriguing and comforting, depending on the case. Maybe all four at the same time.

I wonder what people that take their own lifes go through. :ohno:

it wasn't laaaahv
