Red. Yellow. Blue. Violet.

Really? Is that in order? Explain, I'm interested to know why you picked these.

That's in order. This might get lengthy. I'm terrible at explaining things concisely.

Red is commonly seen as a color that represents power. I see it that way myself anyway. When Gaga was promoting The Fame in interviews, she really tried to assert herself as a great artist. It was interesting because she did so when she was just a new girl with a couple of hit songs. She just seemed so fearless and powerful, no humility whatsoever. I always think of that superstar quality when I listen to the album nowadays.

The Fame Monster is the one that is most difficult to tie to a single color, but to me, it must be a bright color. When Gaga was talking about ARTPOP, she often explained it in terms of adrenaline. That's totally how I have thought about The Fame Monster for years. It's obviously her shortest album, but you can totally lose yourself in it for that short period of time. It has so much more energy than just about any other pop album that I have ever heard, and yellow, to me, represents that energy. That album truly is a rush.

Born This Way is my favorite album. It was totally written with emotion in mind, and the color blue embodies that. The album was a strange amalgam of her own stories and the stories of her fans. They are together in a way that is, at times, heartbreaking and, at other times, triumphant. At all times, it is emotional is some way, and Gaga handled those emotions greatly during live performances back then.

ARTPOP is Gaga's most personal album. I don't think it's about an artistic revolution or reverse-Warhol or anything of the sort. It's an album about the life of Lady Gaga being told in a less fantastic way than the manner in which it was told during The Fame. Recently, Gaga described ARTPOP as being her most emotional release, and unlike Born This Way, it was all about her, so I get why she would say that, but at the same time, I don't feel all of those emotions. I do, however, believe that Gaga put a lot into this album. It has her spirit. Violet is the color of spirit, and I hate to say it, but it also has the shortest wavelength. ARTPOP did not go as far as any of us would have liked.

I don't really see why everyone sees TF as blue? Does someone want to enlighten me on what I'm missing?

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Oh. My. God. That is absolutely insane. I love your thought process.

Well Blue is one of the confident colors but it also represents reserve and intelligence. I can't think of a better way to sum up The Fame era. Apart from that blue was a big portion of the color scheme. Blue jacket on Just Dance single cover, blue lightening bolt, blue crystal glasses and disco stick, etc...

What color do you think it is?
