Ugh. This is so disgusting. People really need to take this problem seriously. Majority of us are so far removed from the lives of the top 10% that the inequality isn't always outwardly apparent enough to realize.

what the US needs is good job creation. Too many low skilled jobs that pay garbage arw not helping.

#1 increase funding to education and infrastructure to increase competitiveness, efficiency and innovation. This can be payed for by reducing the rediculously bloated military spending

#2 simplify taxes. A high tax rate with a lot of loopholes makes the plainfield very uneaven even among the rich.

The US has one of the highest Corporate tax rates in the world but the loopholes cause distortion...

the Corporations in industries having a harder time finding loopholes pay a higher rate than in other Nations and become uncompetive, some wanna move (Burger King moved to Canada)

Then theres the ones that can take advantage of loopholea more easily. Some Corporations barely pay 10% in the US

The tax code is to complicated and flawed. Lower the base rate and get rid of crazy loopholes

it also wouldnt hurt to raise minimuk wage slightly. A high minimum wage creates problems but $8/h is a bit too low. Something like $10/h in most States would be more reasonable

:applause:I am in full agreement with everything you've said. My hope is that we are moving in that direction.

:applause:I am in full agreement with everything you've said. My hope is that we are moving in that direction.

the issue is neither party will do everthing

The republicans are pro simplifying the tax code and getting rid of loopholes and lowering base tax codes. They also are more pro innivation and less regulation which tends to create more growth and investment

But they wont significantly increase infrastructure and education funding and they wont raise minimum wage

Democrats would raise infrastructure and education investments and raise minimum wage

But they often dont talk about fixing tax standards for wealthy they just wanna raise it further. The Corporations effective at avoiding taxes will continue to anyway and the ones that dont and already have low profit margins to begin with will be squeezed further

As an investor trust me i know. Some large multi Billion Dollar companies will have profit margins as small as 2%. Not all types of industries are effective with loopholes so even among the rich some are favoured over others and its highly distorted. The tax must be simpler

Also the democrats like to expand social programs a lot. These are patchworks to help poor but they dont eliminate poverty itself. For that you need investment in an economy that works for everyone. Some social programs is fine but democrats may keep increasing them making finances too strained

Also neither party suggests significant cuts on military but republicans may be even worse on that front

If you make a graph for people having babies and kids, the graph would be inverted favoring the poorer people. lol
