Iranian poets face lashes for shaking hands with opposite sex

(CNN) - Two Iranian poets are facing 99 lashes each for shaking hands with people of the opposite s-x in one of the latest examples of harsh punishments meted out against writers and artists by Iran's judiciary, according to human rights advocates.

The poets, Fatemeh Ekhtesari and Mehdi Musavi, have also both been sentenced to years in prison for "insulting the sacred" in their writings, a decision slammed by freedom of expression activists.

No one allows anyone to have nuclear weapons but sometimes not much can be done unless we want a hot war to break out. Why single out the US specifically? What have they done to you?

I said other Western countries because I don't know which  European nations are negotiating as well with Iran   Looked it up. UK,Russia,EU, Germany, US, Russia China and France.
