Juvelius 375
Guys, take into account You Tube views of gaga. When in 2009 and 2010 she was the Queen of YT,at this point Firework will have more views than Bad Romance in some days. Also, Applause released the same time period as Roar has almost 900,000,000 views less than Roar. I don t even want to do the Dark Horse-GUY comparison. JustPokeHerFace 2,564
Guys, take into account You Tube views of gaga. When in 2009 and 2010 she was the Queen of YT,at this point Firework will have more views than Bad Romance in some days. Also, Applause released the same time period as Roar has almost 1,000,000,000 views less than Roar. I don t even want to do the Dark Horse-GUY comparison. How is this relevant to the Gaga-Cyndi comparison when Youtube didn't even exist in the 1980s?
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
Who's second account is this? LOL Besides Cyndi is doing quite well these days. She just won a Tony the only solo woman to do it in her category and is sitting at home collecting paycheck after paycheck for her royalties off Kinky Boots which is playing world wide in 5 of the biggest stage markets. Hopefully Gaga is adding her Tony to complete her EGOT by the time she is Cyndi's age. Funny Cyndi just became one of the most successful Broadway song writers in history, while Madonna is currently flopping. Its almost like cosmic Karma. Gaga should be so lucky if her career mirrors Cyndi. I think its mirroring more Cher's career just in the reverse. Also Erotica sold 75% less the TIC. Madonna Flopped hard in the 90's with the exception of ROL. As the erotica flop she rebounded with Bedtime stories and even more with Rol and also with Music. Then American Life flopped, then COADF was a huge success, then HC sold less.... Madonna s career has up and downs. But Commercialy cyndi from 1983 to today is going down the hill. I don t care about sales, i am just making some thoughts about these things. I will be the last to abandon someone because of awful sales, i listen to indie things actually lately.

Which was also about 70% less than IMC. She tried to hard to emulate the current pop diva of that time Janet Jackson. Pretty mush every song on Bedtime Stories sounded like That's the Way Love Goes. All the sudden she was dating TuPac and tried to put out a RnB record. JustPokeHerFace 2,564
Because you are discussing Gaga-Katy thing hereBut you started the Gaga-Katy comparison in the OP, which is a parallel to Cyndi and Madonna's careers back in the 80s. Now Katy's channel does have more views than Gaga's, but Cyndi's channel currently has more views than Madonna's. So that comparison is also inaccurate. As for the other comments of yours, Bedtime Stories had a bjork song, Bedtime Story very innovative that actually gave us a glimpse of the electronica revolution in Ray of Light. And it is a great record overral.

LORD GAGA 1,271
Whoever the OP is they sure are just coincidentally an expert on Madonna's success patterns... this thread also just happens to be inevitably geared towards causing arguments/flame baiting, over something that isn't even worth discussing as its all 'what ifs...' Coincidence? Definitely. OT: No Lady Gaga is not the 'New Cyndi' of the 2010's She's the Lady Gaga of the 2010's, an artist that is critically revered as the 'artist of our generation', an artist that has won countless awards an artist who is now even being praised for her efforts in acting by critics and viewers alike etc if there was any comparison to be made it would be that is madonna NOW the equivalent to Cher when madonna took over and is Lady Gaga the new madonna? to which the answer is still no, she's so much more than that.
