Believe it or not, Bad Romance was released six years ago today in the US. I thought making a thread to share our memories of the first time we heard the song would be a nice way to honor such a brilliant work of art. Thank you for bestowing this national treasure upon us Lady Gaga.

My memory

I was in my senior year of high school, I was driving to school one morning and on the radio came this new song. It sounded so much different than anything that was playing on the radio at the time (even different from Paparazzi). I became aware that it was Gaga's new song when I heard the lyrics "Gaga Oh-la-la". After the song finished, the DJ said, "That is the latest from Lady Gaga. It's called Bad Romance". That was the first song released by Gaga, in which I was already a big fan, having become one during her 2009 VMA appearance. Bad Romance was a staple of my senior of high school and I feel lucky that it was big that year because senior year is one of the defining years in an American's life. That song is so special to me.

What's that? Is that a Katy Perry song or something?

Kevin Parker, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson, and a stoned Lady Gaga. Need I say more?

Bad Romance made me a lil monster. Of course, I've known bout Gags before it, since The Fame, but I dismissed her as basic (except for Paparazzi and LoveGame).

Then one day as I was prepping for school, I turn on the TV, put it on the local music channel and it was playing a Bey song, can't recall which one. It was ending. I didn't pay much attention when BR started with them iconic opening vocals. The sound, the video, they were both so alien to me. I didn't like but I didn't dislike it either, I was in a perfect neutral stance, but I wanted to see/hear more. And so I did. The more I watched it, the more i loved it. Until I became addicted.

Needless to say, I skipped school that day. :green:

I miss her TFM video quality production tbh. Of all the singles she has released so far, only Yoü & I has fantastic production. BTW and Judas are almost there but they are messy as phuck. Its also why ARTPOP has left me with a bitter taste after everything that happened because Venus and DWUW would have been two new Bad Romances. **** Troy, **** Interscope and **** R. Kelly. :awkney:

But I am hopeful for the next era because I Want Your Love is flawfree.

it wasn't laaaahv
