She pretty much created the Gaga persona to cope with her anxiety along with music. She's explained that Gaga and Stefani are the same person (obviously) but I do think she's getting more comfortable getting called Stefani and is starting to not care about her trademarks in pop culture and won't let the trademarks define her. I'm probably not making sense because I'm just vomiting whatever's on my mind regarding this quote. 

oh and please bring back long brown hair Gaga

She's a cutie. I'm glad she is in a good space and is so willing to help others. Such a gift to the world.
