Head Empty 24,260 Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 This lyric has always confused me, but because the song is so epic I never took the time to really question it Who is this leader Gaga is singing about?Why does she want to be taken there?Why does she need the Goddess of Love to get there? My first association with the lyric was that Gaga wanted to make it sound like the Goddess of Love and the leader are some kind of alien, and she is asking Venus to take her to the alien leader. But that still doesn't really make any sense metaphorically. Another more thematically sensical 'leader' is of course the leader of the Gods: Zeus (aka Jupit-ah). But why would Gaga want to be taken there? Is it because Zeus is often part of very s-xually themed legends and mythologies? Does she want to be taken to his Venus with a capital P?
