The biggest problem with AHS Hotel so far

I (mostly) agree. The scene with Sally where she scares the kid by her teeth falling out? What was that for? It literally made no sense and wasn't a "fun" scene either just to throw in, imo. I feel like we have A LOT of scenes like that right now that are filler. Scenes that aren't helping the storyline, or just don't fit in. I feel like the show is ALL over the place, and since a lot of the characters only interact with one or two other people in the show, it feels like it's not blending in and one solid show. There are just too many story lines that are all over the place. I'm not set on disliking it just yet, cause we're only in episode 2, but I hope we get something by episode 4 or so that ties everything together.

I'm just glad we don't have irrelevant characters this season who serve no purpose, the characterisation is good.

I think they're doing a great job with the character development. We learned so much about a lot of the characters already. And I like how they're connecting it with the history of the hotel.

It's science, bitch

Because it's creepy? AHS is known for that kind of creepy eccentricity. It added to the messed up nature of Sally's character. It's a horror show, not a straight down the line drama. Therefore it's pretty necessary to keep that weird atmosphere. What other filler moments like that are there?

For me, I feel like they're all going to come together in the end. You have to remember we're only two episodes in. It kind of makes sense as well because in what hotel that you've ever stayed at have you crossed paths with every other guest? Imo it's cool. The Cortez is just like a hub for all this dark **** that happens, like a force of it's own. I like that. I'm sure as we learn more, though, it will come together.

The only problem is that it seems to comfortable for gaga. It's like she's playing a vampire more traditional version of herself.

I LOVE her role, but I just want it to be a little more out of her comfort zone you know?

The story is GREAT!!

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

The biggest problem with AHS so far is that everyone is complaining about this season when we've only seen two episodes :neyde:

The story line involving the cop and his children is not very interesting at all to me. I wish they would focus less on that and more on the other characters.

I agree... I'm still trying to find the energy to watch the second episode bc the first didn't hook me up. I'm just gonna watch it for Gaga's sake tbh. Hope it gets better.

The thing is that most of this info is being revealed at a very slow pace. This makes it seem like the characters are just walking around the hotel killing people with no real story. I mean, there is obviously a story, but the story is not being presented is an concise manner.

if it was revealed in two episodes its moving very quickly.

Same. The family drama feels like a different show to me.

im pretty sure his story is going to play into the ten commandments killer and come across with gagas character at some point.

I'm absolutely fascinated with this season. The show is intriguing in a way that it hasn't been since Asylum. It feels mysterious and edgy and disorienting.

MURDER HOUSE: no plot. not continuity. things just happen

ASYLUM: no constant plot. too many plots at once. Kit (1), lana(2), bloody face(3) sister jude(4)

COVEN: first constant plot and still had several unpredictable/unestablished things

FREAKSHOW: second constant plot

as clearly shows, establishing plot sis not what this show´s good at-. they just make things happen and that makes the audience break their minds which is quite impressive
