The 90s were just not a good time for pop music artists, it was heavily punk/grunge influenced I guess

janet. and The Velvet Rope both hit #1 and they were both released in the 1990s (1993 & 1997 respectively)

The album is amazing from beginning to end. My favorites are BURNITUP!,Dammm Baby,After You Fall,Unbreakable,No Sleeep,The Great Forever,and Shoulda Known Better.

Madge had like six albums in the 90s and we are not ignoring the power of the most irreverent jackson. (that is not irrelevant)

What is interesting is that the album debuted with biggest sales of a women EVER and was #2

Back to the topic: Happy for Janet, the album is absolute gold. Really hope that she releases burnitup to support the record, it could make it rise more.

I've listened to the album like a hundred times. Its def worth a listen. Like my top top tracks are The Great Escape, Night, Take Me Away. But then the next tier is BURNITUP, Shoulda Known Better, Well Traveled, Gon' Be Alright, No Sleep AFSheen Remix
