Hopefully this helps in some way to stop China from artificially changing the value of their currency :wtf:

(I doubt it does tho)

people arent being very fair to china

First of all China has been slowly allowing more and more flotation. Their most recent move in currency was to a more realistic level.

Secondly China is going through a very difficult transition. Their economy is too developed and mature now to keep growing industrially and thats stalling so now they must develop their domestic economy.

Thier middle class is growing and the Government is encouraging the growth of service, retail and consumption sector by gradually raising minimum wages. China is also gradually allowing more market freedom and reducing controls

But this is a delicate transition. An economy that was tightly controlled by Government to transition into a more free market, and a developing economy turning into a developed Nation with higher living standards is a slow shaky process

China has been progressing into a mmore authentic Country but it cant be done overnight. Its not a process that can be rushed. I actually commend the Government for accepting that China must go in that direction rather than fighting it

I live in El Salvador and I never really go to KFC but from what I remember 2 large meals would be around $10.

And yeah, I was certainly happy when I found those forty bucks, I was starting to worry I'd have to ask my mom for money lol.

It's mostly my fault. I suck at managing my money. I bought a shirt last weekend and I wore it on Saturday then I wanted to wear it again today but I didn't like it anymore so that's $25 I could have saved. :cryga:

I hate not liking shirts that I liked when I bought them :madge:

Stressed, depressed, but well dressed.

They've made a public statement that they're moving towards a less government controlled economy to a free market? Why wasn't this all over the news? :duck:

They've made a public statement that they're moving towards a less government controlled economy to a free market? Why wasn't this all over the news? :duck:

because it wasnt 1 single statement. Its been more of a gradual changing in attitudes and ideals

they also gradually realized they now must transition into more consumption based economy to keep growing. But this wasnt all decided in a single day and wasnt said in a single statement

its been happening over a period of years so many ppl arent even aware of Chinas transition. In the world of economics tho we follow it closely!

China has rocketed to a near modern industrial economy in about 30 years.  I985 they were pretty much agrarian based communist dictatorship controlled.

They have changed so much they don't always know what to do really.

basically my point they have developed very quickly

Still tho, much dvelopment still needs to be made. While many large cities are now modernized, much of the Country is still greatly under-developed. The insane amount of money spent on infrastructure every year by the Chinese in part is to expand development to areas still undeveloped

In regards to economy tho, the transition to a more consumption based economy must be done with care... if they try to rush wage growth, the industrial sector will slow faster than the service sector can invest to grow and the over-all economy will actually deteriorate
