I'm VERY excited and interested to see how Missy's comeback is received. It's been 10 years since her last album The Cookbook was released. What's interesting is that Missy Elliot's career didn't fade because the GP lost interest in her, Missy stopped because of major thyroid issues. It will be interesting to see how the GP reacts to her comeback. Missy Elliott's success far exceeds Nicki Minaj's. So maybe Missy can make Nicki eat some humble pie. I like Nicki, but she needs it. I'd also wonder how Nicki would react to Missy's comeback being successful. Nicki has stated that Missy is one of her influences so I wonder if Nicki would feel threatened by her and give her some Miley Cyrus/Iggy Azalea shade. Just some thoughts. (and who's to say her success will last?) Nicki only seems so great in your eyes now, cuz she's the big female rapper at the moment. will Nicki seem so great 10 years from now? maybe, we don't know.
