Economy 52,886 Posted October 7, 2015 Share Posted October 7, 2015 http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/dont-be-fooled-by-the-surprise-budget-surplus/article26373964/ Evidence is mounting as documents got released that Canadas Conservatives purposely under-estimated revenue and over-estimated expenses to get a "surprise surplus" just before elections The Conservatives have put a lot of political stance on bringing Canada back to surplus and the badly done calculations suggest they did it on purpose to justify cuts to achieve surpluses before elections and look good politically. Ive yet to see a party thats totally honest lets face it none of them are. Etc, its mainly a joke. On the small scale, like governers etc oh ok lol Canada's Conservatives are not that conservative on social issues at least in comparison to the US. They support same-s-x marriages for example, no party here is against that But they are still more conservative than the liberals on some things. Our Liberal party supports legalization of pot while the Conservatives do not On most social things the gap among the 3 main parties is not very large. Its on economic matters they differ the most... our 3 parties are very distinct economically. 1 is far left (socialist), 1 is Centre Wing and the Conservatives in power right now are the right Winged Capitalists Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
