I think it's technically possible to make torrents with hundreds or thousands of files, but it may be more practical to make several torrents each for a particular group of files

I'm not at a position where I want to make my collection available in it's full heft. Logistically and timewise it is out of the question. something like 2-25 files at a time, I can do. Not 12,000 --- not all at once. And I am contently in the dark on the feasability of torrents at the moment.
