Walmart doesn't have firearms in the camping department, they are in the shooting department. You don't have to be a certain age or a citizen to buy a kayak so it's definitely not the same or even similar.

This isn't a gun control problem, it's a parenting problem (to take the words of the girl's uncle)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with responsible gun ownership. The second amendment isn't going anywhere any time soon, so we ought to be implementing responsible gun ownership classes and background checks to make sure events like this don't keep happening. That's all I have to say.

Australia was more liberal with gun laws before then implemented stricter gun laws. Guess what? The rate of gun shootings decreased

 

the US isnt a 3rd world Nation. Violent crimes with guns shouldnt be so high even in relation to its large population

Here in Canada guns laws are strict. Someone who works in my company went to jail for 3 years cuz cops found gun in his car (usually that alone doesnt make sentenses that long so im guessing he already had some record). But yeah shootings are rare here. When ever an isolated incident does happen its all over the news

And your point is? Walmart is a store that sells a great many things. Why is it unusual to buy guns in a store? 

My point was in my first post. A lot of people from other countries are going to think that is unusual to find guns at a supermarket like Walmart. Walmart doesn't sell s-x toys, p0rn, many tobacco products or cannabis which are all legal but restraint just like firearms.

I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying that of course many people from around the world are going to think that buying a firearm at Walmart is weird.

Neither Australia nor Canada have the similar or even comparable inner-cities where minority-on-minority violence is prevalent like the U.S. doesn't. Our violent crime does not come from white guys shooting up elementary schools or movie theaters or 11 year old boys shooting 8 year old girls. It's inflated by black-on-black gun violence in inner-cities, largely gang violence.

If you think stricter gun laws will get guns out of the hands of gang members in inner cities that break the law every single day, then idk what you're smoking.

Nearly half our population in the bigger cities (especially GTA) were not born in Canada, and most who are at least 1 parent wasnt.

 

Toronto ranks #1 WW as the most multicultural city in the world and minorities are everywhere including blacks and they aint shooting eachother

High schools boys are murdering each other in inner cities to steal each others shoes in the U.S.. If you think that culture of violence is going to go away magically if guns are made illegal....

3. Walmart does sell cigarettes and tobacco products - at least in the US.

3. Cannabis is illegal, and where it's not it is frowned upon by many and would lose them business. In addition there is no large-scale cannabis production and distribution for them to even consider stocking it.

But none of your points really has anything to do with my first post.

You asked "Why does it surprise Europeans that you can buy guns in a store?" And I told you that it's because in some countries guns are not sold in Walmart and it's not as obvious as you may think. I compared it to p0rn, s-x toys and cannabis (because it's legal in some states and those states have good production and distribution of it now) because all these things are regulated and not everyone can buy them or sell them just like firearms. 

No, they probably don't think guns grow from trees as you said but some people from other countries may think that you can only get guns from an specific store just like cannabis and s-x toys.

It's normal in the US and a few other countries but not for the rest of the world. What's normal for you it's not normal for everyone.

the US is one if the dew developed nations with a good economic status by world status that has so much crimes like that
