Let's keep disagreements mature and civil guys, we're different people and we're not going to see things the same way, either discuss it in an appropriate manner and try to see where the other is coming from and remain respectful or agree to disagree and leave it at that  It's a forum and we've all got our opinions and thoughts of how things could possibly link together, whether they do or not only Gaga knows, but until then let's keep the brainstorming and idea-sharing polite :nick:

Can you guys stop attacking him thank you, half of you have said stupider **** in threads and you know it, :rip: @ some people feeling like pros on this site. Be nice to people who just signed up.

Anyways, Gags actually usually references her past works in some ways. It's just a matter of finding it :stalkga:

Bad Bromance

WOW... I'm flabbergasted. Clearly you all need to take a refresher course in what it means to be a Little Monster. Just trying to have some fun interpreting meaning into the greatest pop act I've ever known. Didn't know that it would be so offensive to so many of you here.

Don't let other people's sarcastic and rude comments get to you.  Some of the members on GagaDaily can be very cruel sometimes but for the most part they're all very nice.  Don't leave this site because of a bad experience.

After all, aren't we all here because of our fave?  Well, at least some of us certainly are.  By the way, welcome to GagaDaily, my friend!!!

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

For the record, I think that @Ryan Reid made a very good observation.  While I know Gaga is just covering this song, the look and feel of the video does give you Bad Romance vibes if you a--lyze it a bit.  That totally may not be the case at all, but we'll never know unless we're talking directly to Gaga.  Until then, please leave this nice guy alone.

I get what OP is saying, but I think you all are inverting things. Gaga could totally be referencing Chic's IWYL in BR, not the opposite, because BR was written after the original IWYL. How could you know she was not? Many of you didn't even know that song existed before she covered it. Maybe the original IWYL is a song that inspired her to write BR and now she's decided to cover this song and put some elements of BR in it (the vocals and the white scenery that totally gives BR teas, especially the illuminated squares on the floor) so she can remember people of her biggest song to date and create more hype for the new album.

I know this is more about Tom Ford than about Gaga, but she covered the song, she sings the whole song, she was called a genius by Nile Rodgers, she doesn't "just happened to be there". She could totally has helped creating the video and putting some BR references in it and in the song too.

This was literally the first thing I noticed, the subtleties in hand gestures mimicking the bad romance choreography, the delivery of that same line is also rather similar - I'm surprised some didn't click onto these and are accusing people of 'reaching'

The song was obviously chosen because of the line "I want your love" which is also a lyric from BR.

It was the first thing I noticed.

I am trying to mental remix the two songs when ever i hear this new one! One of our audio mixer pals should be able to :)

the reaches. the song is a cover, tom ford said he loves chic/soul train so gaga prob didn't even pick the song to cover. nick knight directed and likely developed the art direction.

no bad romance references found.

i agree. gagz references herself all the time. sometimes it's subtle, sometimes she does it quite explicitly. as one of the members above said, she's always invested in her projects. both the title and the vibe of the video are intended, in my interpretation, to allude to BR.

Lol people have forgotten gagas biggest hits have references and are play on words. Its no surprise she references her own work..... Aka Gypsy referencing scheibe and born this way ...I wanna be with you...born this way .  This is a bit more subtle and could go either way. there is no reaching here by any means . Shes exaggerated the melody to fit her style ....which sounds a hell a lot like Bad Romance ..

Omg, I've never heard of the phrase "I want your love" before in my entire life.

She must've thought about that song with that unique title and put it in her lyrics multiple times because the songs were connected musically and lyrically. :udidnt:

Omg, and she referred to MJ's Bad too? What a discovery!!!:udidnt::udidnt:
