Goosey 3,017
Wow, I love and respect Obama for making this speech. too many lives have been lost and I pray America does create better gun control laws to stop more shootings from happening. What are your views on this? He didn't propose ANYTHING. He just said "we need change". He didn't say what, specifically, needs to be changed."Common sense gun safety laws"? That term is ridiculously unclear. He doesn't explain what that means. What is "common sense"? It's whatever you want it to be. Pretty sure both the NRA and the gun control people both want "common sense" laws. So, I don't think much of this speech. Morphine Prince 109,655
He's so pissed lol. He WILL come out and give this speech again. Want to bet another mass shooting will happen by next month? It's the norm here now.
Whispering 18,865
Go Obama Go! You are speaking for the many in the US who are sick of gun violence! The U.S. gun murder rate is 20 times greater than other developed nations. It is past time for the government to start protecting its people, instead of being in the back pockets of the NRA! Qualle1 1,385
Just have a look at this chart from 2012 about "homicides by firearms". The USA has obviously a huge problem with guns. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR

Most Americans still support their 'right to bear arms', and if Democrats want to be re-elected they can't publicly say they want much tighter gun regulation. At least he sees the problem and doesn't think gun violence can be fixed with more and better guns.
