That good sis is probably still waiting for a rational explication as to why any self-respecting gay person would choose to support an institution that advocates against LGBT civil rights, an institution that has spent hundreds of years dehumanizing homos-xuals.

The Pope may be focused on being a beacon of positivity, but like all "progressive" Catholic icons, he still values the traditional family unit above all else. Even liberal radical Dorothy Day spoke out against homos-xuality. The Catholic Church is not a friendly home for us Queers.
