Switzerland for the 7th year in a row has won 1st rank for most competitive economy in the world. With:

- low regulation burdens

- very low business taxes

- adequate infrastructure

- productive & innovative workforce

- Financial Stability

- Highest Quality education system in the world

With few valuable natural resources, Switzerland consistantly manages to maintain very low unemployment and strong economic performance by attracting giant Corporations around the world, innovate on high quality products and efficiently compete on global market despite being landlocked and despite high wages.

It's incredible to see the variety of political ideologies that occupy the top 20. Very neat report.

It's incredible to see the variety of political ideologies that occupy the top 20. Very neat report.

many factors besides ideology plays a role of course

but part of it isnt just the strategy you use but also how well you carry out and implement that strategy i think

in the case of Switzerland they are landlocked which fir trade is a huge disadvantage, and they do not hold many valuable natural resources...

still despite that, on human innovation alone they created an economy so competitive and so stable that their currency is the only currency of a small Country seen as a reserve. Every time things get tough or uncertain people run up the Swiss Franc even more than they do the US Dollar or even gold sometimes!!!!

Wait till their economy collapses.

they probably have the best record in the world for consistant prosperity going back decades. They had 1 nasty recession in the 80s i believe it was due to a housing bubble and that has been about it

for your economy to collapse you need some major imbalance or root problem like too much debt (government, corporate, snall business or consumer debt), or competitiveness issue or unsustainable economy

Switzerland doesnt have any major issues on any of those things
