When I heard the song, I imagined something a lot more sinister. It's a dark, creepy beat, suggesting something deeper than lyrics about girlie daydreams about boys. And playing close attention to the lines like "I know what only the girls know, hoes with lies akin to me," "lies can buy eternity," "it's all a game to me anyway" and "no holds barred and I'm set to destroy" lines...I imagined a group of girls who are professional honeytrappers. For those who don't know, this practice has two defintions. One is using a private investigator to test how likely your spouse is to cheat, but that's not the definition I always knew it as. The other kind of honeytrapping is when a girl approaches a rich man with the guise of wanting to date/sleep with him and leads him to to some place where he assumes they'll be alone, but this is where she and her gang will kill him and rob him. It's common in the most violent types of gangs and usually involves the one sole girl member doing the honeytrapping with the boys doing the killing but girl gangs are increasingly using this practice too. I thought the concept of "putting on my music while I'm watching the boys" was her way of saying that she's on the lookout for the next prey. Seriously, listen to the last chilling notes of that song and tell me you don't hear it. The whole song has a predatory feeling about it, a sinister beat, sinister lyrics, sinister vocals and has a chilling piano note at the very end. Listen to it with my definition and tell me if you don't see what I'm seeing. Just saying it would have been an awesome interpretation.But regardless, she looks absolutely stunning and it's lovely to see her smiling. I love the scenary as well.
