Mark 4,065
What a disrespect for a religious icon. At this point, idk if he is serious or not with his choice of actions. EDIT: article did not say WACK... so at least he's saying it in a nice way. 00026 † 10000

EDIT: article did not say WACK... so at least he's saying it in a nice way.In fairness, the Pope holds some pretty whack views on abortion, contraception, gay rights, and women's equality, so I wouldn't take him seriously on economics or science either.I'm sure right-wing Catholics will ignore him on this, just like left-wing Catholics have done on other issues for decades. Woolfsmck 2,763
I don't see how the Pope can really weigh in on global warming. Not unless he got a memo from god, his life dedicated to the word of god, so ....Climate change isn't really a 'faith' topic ....Trump just cracks me up with his comments tho... like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. I feel like he's trying to be open to the 20th century by tackling these kinds of topics. Of course there's religion involved, so his views are a lot different. 00026 † 10000

Wait what? What has the pope said about abortion contraception gay rights and women's equality that is "whack"... (I seriously cant remember anything controversial) and what do those have to do with one another and his qualifications to have opinions on anything not related to religion? From what I recall, he only echoed the statements of professionals and people who dedicate their life's work to science unless i've heard wrong... I dont get why that should even be remotely controversial unless you consider that the entire conversation is politicized and filled with biased uninformed opinions and hearsay... (The whole thing imo is way too important to leave up to the hands of political squabbles like why risk anything? ) Also, Donald trumps argument is that somedays its nice outside sometimes its not therefore stop making people worry about the days it isn't nice? (He was lowkey right about China (but way-way hyperbolic..) -- the smoke and smog in the air over there 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

His opinions are irrelevant to me ever since he went back on his "who am I to judge" thing. Whimsical bitch

Which has horrible implications for s-xual freedom, population growth, and the planet. Also anti-choice on abortion. It's also one of the few organizations that bans women from entering it's leadership (the priesthood). This is s-xist discrimination. craig 680
I think climate change is a thing, but it's unclear to what degree it's occurring and to what extent we should enact policies that hurt the economy (especially poorer people) or whether such policies will have any effect as long as developing countries like China continue developing. But telling them not to develop is problematic because it condemns people to poverty. I worry more about nuclear war and the effects of overpopulation.
