Philippine Love Team Breaks Twitter: 12.1M tweets in 24h

AlDub (a combined loveteam name of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub) breaks twitter record for hitting 12.1M tweets in span of 24 hours for the hashtag #AlDubMostAwaitedDate thanks to their fans called AlDubNation. They break their own record last Saturday for the hashtag #AldubtheAbduction which hit 6.35M tweets beating #LoveWins that gained 6.2M tweets in 24 hours. Truly this is a history in the pop culture of the Philippines. The show isn't done yet so they will probably break their record again.  The show is airing 6 times a week from Mon to Sat. Guinness Book of World Record is also considering to acknowledge this achievement for the Fastest Trending Topic. 

 

The love team was actually created accidentaly and the two lovers are just communicating through dubsmashing. So it really is a new and a unique kind of romantic comedy series  for everyone in the Philippines.
