Can we appreciate the universal appeal of TIHTY?

When I first heard TIH2Y, all I could think about was abuse/s-xual abuse, but after a few listens, Gaga really wrote this song with a universal appeal. You didn't have to be assaulted, or have a past of abuse to relate. Any traumatic event seems so relevant, and you can almost feel Gaga singing write from your own heart.

Just thought I'd throw this out there. Hope you guys are having a great Saturday!

I completely agree. Actually I played the song (not the video) for my mum and she immediately thought of the refugee crisis that is going on. It's such a relatable song that doesn't have to be about s-xual abuse but about anything in your life that you struggle with.

I agree..Gaga herself wrote this on twitter-

" @diane_warren & I made "Til It Happens To You" for people all over the world who suffer from painful life experiences. We hope u feel our love&solidarity through the song & perhaps find some peace in knowing u r not alone through this film"

Well it would be weird if she was mentioning rape or rape incidents in the song it would be unlistenable I think.

After I hear it the first time, its good and the song has a message, but I also felt that the song isn't that appealing to me. But after I've watched the music video yesterday, that's the time it really hits me. tbh, I'm a little bit surprise that many find this song appealing, and maybe the reason it didn't appeal to me the first time i hear it is because, I don't know how it feels.
