Swan Heart 7,382
She's always gorgeous. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
DietCoke 386
Thinness is a personal decision. Thinking of thinness as more beautiful is a personal opinion. To say with absolute certainty that thin bodies are more attractive/better is to support the idea that thicker bodied people are lesser than, that people with thicker bodies can't be beautiful or "slay". That's my opinion.

Dominic 11,922
Gaga loves to cause a stir/talking point and I think the talk of her weight is just apart of that, it's typical celebrity behaviour. She gave the illusion she was much thinner than she was in the Alejandro video and even Bad Romance and has done countless times throughout her career. This is why I don't like when people say we shouldn't discuss her weight/appearance because that is exactly what she wants us to do. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
Emvee 8,350
This is just absurd. Not everyone looks 'more attractive' when they are fit. Stop idolizing fit bodies. 'Overweight' people may not look good to you, don't put it as a fact. Good God, you gays are so annoying when it comes to weight & body issues. I'm so tired of you white thin p*nis whorsipers...This has nothing with me being gay, but thanks for proving that you're just as absurd as you think I am. We are biologically wired to be attracted to people with greater physical fitness. Media didn't just one day decide this in a vacuum. It's the way we, as active animals with limited diets, evolved to look like. Again, I'm not saying we need to look like this, nor am I saying there is a particular ideal... but it is what we evolved to look like.
Phlop 4,773
She looks good, but something about the intense fixation on her being thin kind of freaks me out. I can't if it's because I have a stick in my ass, or because-she had an eating disorder for years on and off-she spent a lot of time portraying her larger figure in a confident manner, continuously stating the importance of loving your body no matter what-I personally know so many people with eating disorders and body image problems which almost killed them at some points, and have dealt with my own which almost killed me at some points-the hyper-glamorization of extremely standardized body types, particularly within the gay male communityMaybe I just have a stick in my ass.tl;dr she looks amazingI wouldn't over ****yze it. Over the past couple months she's been seen doing more Pilates and yoga, and she probably ears better. When she launched that body revolution thing, I believe was 2012, when she was not only her heaviest, but also doing a lot of pot and having hip problems. I do think she didn't take good care of herself since she kinda always looked d--gged up tbh.She seems happier, is engaged, appreciated artistically and I think it is now portraying on her physically. Judas Oyster 1,914
I also love the look of very thin bodies. But, to be realistic most women cannot maintain very low weights healthily. This is probably why Gaga's weight fluctuates so much. I know from personal experience that trying to stay that thin is pretty much a constant effort. When your body is essentially in a semi starved state, it desperately wants to go back to its "set point". Your whole mindset of food changes and you think about eating and trying not to eat all day. Read the Minnesota starvation study. Of course my situation wasn't that extreme but any type of weight loss produces this type of effect. Yes, I understand. I'm average but gone up some kg lately and want them gone, but thinking about food and calories really is exhausting and u have to think about it 24/7 as you say. So I understand Gaga couldn't keep it going for too many years. What I find funny is how she besides eating not to much and being so thin managed to get thru' the first eras. She has had to be really really tired. And even funnier is to think that she has Lupus. No wonder she is more relaxed now in the shows and choreos. It sucks for us bc I can see it thru' her performances and videos now, but good for her.
s3v4n5 3
You guys have no idea how much of a product you are of society's unending and absolutely stupid beauty standards. Or worse, you do and yet you continue to perpetuate them.
JazzGa 14,620
I don't think Gaga's weight changes nearly as much as this forum thinks it does. Being as short as she is, I'll bet there was only a 15 pound difference between her lowest weight around Telephone and her highest near the end of the BTWB or maybe beginning of C2C. And it's normal for some women to gain and lose in a range of 10 pounds per month depending on their hormones!Angles/poses, flattering clothes, lighting, and shoes are wayyyyy more important to our perception of how thin or curvy she is. She does look great this week! Her abs were killin it in the crop top the other day. High waisted daisy dukes and nude platform stilettos will make anyone's legs look lean and mean. My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <

Gaga has even said before that she gained 25 pounds and she wasnt at her thinnest point before claiming she gained weight. Anyway, i do think that lighting and outfits play a huge role in how we perceive shape and size. For example, even underweight people could have s muffin top and look fat if they are wearing psnts that are too small and squeeze them. Body composition also makes a big difference. JazzGa 14,620
Can we just be honest for a quick second and establish the fact that EVERYONE looks more attractive when they're fit? Hello, logic. The problem arises when you start saying **** like "she HAS to be thin to be attractive." Nobody has to do anything... And certainly not to please other people. That being said, the obvious still stands. Human beings look better when they're not overweight. But there are so many different types of "fit" though. The body type of a linebacker or wrestler is so different from a marathon runner or ballerina, even though all 4 are in peak physical condition. Futhermore, straight men tend to aesthetically prefer women 2 or 3 sizes larger than gay men or women themselves, and there are plenty of people who prefer a soft form to a hard one (Hello bears???). So "fitness" and "beauty" are always much more in the eye of the beholder and less universal than magazines and advertisements would have us believe. :) That being said, IT IS OK TO BE MORE ATTRACTED TO THIN PEOPLE THAN THICK ONES. So am i, and it is frustrating when people accuse me of body-shaming or whatever just because my body type and what I'm attracted to happens to be what's conventionally accepted. x.X Can I live, SJWs? Obviously, many people who are overweight get that way through unhealthy habits and so I will agree with you that people who care about their bodies (fit) look healthier than those who dont, but be careful not to conflate increasing thinness with increasing health. I'd argue that occasional yoga happy curvy C2C Gaga was probably healthier than c-----e snorting yo yo dieting TFM Gaga, even if you could see her muscles more. I think we can all agree, tho, that current Gaga looks fit, healthy, and slay worthy :legend: Ps, I know I quopted you but I went off on a few tangents that aren't responding to you directly, your post just inspired some thoughts, so sorry if I made you feel targeted My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <
