DJ BgM 0
To be honest, this is quite technically flawed. While everything is in tempo and well structured, the Ke$ha acapella is very much out of key with the Lady Gaga backing you used. I'm not familiar with that Ke$ha track, so I can't say what the key is. However, the key of Scheiße should be C minor. Therefore, you need to somehow adjust the Ke$ha key to match that (or vice versa). Judging from how it sounds now, I have a feeling that this might be stretch. If it's more than a few semitones away, I personally wouldn't bother doing it. Hope this helps.

I know that for mashups it would be good to adjust the key, but the problem is that I hate pitching voices so much :/ Thank you though!
DJ BgM 0
Thank you for your help! I know that for mashups it would be good to adjust the key, but the problem is that I hate pitching voices so much :/ Thank you though! Yeah. I very much dislike pitching voices as well. If you go beyond a semitone or a whole step when pitching voices and you aren't using a good pitch stretching algorithm, it can really ruin things. Anyways, this is why I said "or vice versa" in my original post. I personally have less of a problem stretching instrumentals because doing so is generally more natural. It obviously depends on how far apart the keys are (i.e., stretching an instrumental too much can be a problem). However, if they are relatively close, you can probably get away with it. DJ BgM 0
Yeah :P Problem is that I have no clue what key the Ke$ha song is in haha Just had a listen to this on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LB8mIbrQZx0 Assuming that is the original track (i.e., the person who posted that video didn't adjust the audio at all), it should be E minor. DJ BgM 0
Thank you! How much do I have to pitch it then? Unfortunately, it was as I suspected and it would require a major shift to get them matched up perfectly. You can either go up 4 on the Scheiße instrumental to make it E minor (thus matching the Ke$ha vocals) or you can go down 4 on the Ke$ha vocals (thus matching the Scheiße instrumental). However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend either of these (if I had to choose one, I'd say go up 4 on the instrumental, but that's a major shift). One other thing you could try is this: Either go down 1 on the Scheiße instrumental (to get it to B minor) or up 1 on the Ke$ha vocals (to get it to F minor). The reason being is that E minor (i.e., the natural key of the Ke$ha vocals) is the perfect fourth of B minor. Similarly, C minor (i.e., the natural key of the Scheiße instrumental) is the perfect fifth of F minor. E minor and B minor are harmonically compatible as are C minor and F minor. Since you said that you don't like shifting vocals, I would recommend the "going down 1 on the Scheiße instrumental" option. This is a much more subtle shift than trying to match the keys outright and it should theoretically work (I say "theoretically" because there are a few notes that may be out of key, but I wouldn't be able to tell you unless I heard the entire mix after you made the change). Once again, hope this helps and good luck. Let me know if you have any more questions.
